Join Our Team as a Purchasing Agent!

Responsibilities:
As a Purchasing Agent at SMBC Marketing Solutions Inc., you will be responsible for:
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
• Develop Profitable Strategies: Formulate and implement purchasing strategies that enhance profitability.
• Negotiation: Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions, including price, quality, and delivery schedules. Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze costs, market trends, and other factors to recommend and implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining product quality.
• Order Processing: Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of materials and supplies.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that products meet specified standards and resolve any issues related to quality or delivery.
• Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, new products, and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Reporting: Generate regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for management review.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.

Requirements:
• Experience: Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a relevant role.
• Negotiation Skills: Demonstrable expertise in negotiating prices and contract conditions.
• Market Knowledge: Acquainted with market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices.
Tech Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office and other applications and software.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both written and spoken English.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and supplier offerings.
• Organization: Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Basic Knowledge: procurement, contract, and supplier management best practices.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Team: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must have excellent command of the English language, both writing and speaking.

Technical Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of related working experience
• Own computer with minimum specifications to perform the job function
• Fast and stable internet, with at least 25 MBPS (download and upload speed)
• Internet connection back-up
• With night shift experience for at least 2 years
• With experience in the related field for 3-8 years

Work Hours: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM (Central Time), work hours may vary
Work Schedule: Mondays to Fridays
Rest Days: Saturday and Sunday
Work Condition: Full Time
Work Location: Remote
