Job Description :
ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you shall be required to be responsible for acquiring new customers and new business opportunities. The work begins with evaluating the market, developing sales leads, contacting prospects, making appointments, and determining application opportunities. Next, the sales professional audits the prospect’s operations, consider alternatives, prepare professional proposals and/or quotes, makes winning presentations, and gain commitment from the customers. Finally, the sales professional takes personal responsibility for the care of the customers through coordination of all parties participating in the relationship. The successful sales professional must always be striving to expand their contact database and technical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prospecting
– Develop contact list and prospects to find new business and customers while utilizing multiple sources to develop prospect list, including, industry guides, key vendor partner input and referrals from existing customers.
– Make sales calls to existing and perspective customers.
– Determine potential applications. Secure opportunities to quote on existing and potential customers’ requirements by visiting the customer facility and/or contacting by phone.
– Follows up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.
– Develop a plan for every call and a strategy for each account.
– Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, and other key personnel).
Sales Administration
– Provide business reports on scheduled basis.
– Provide territory sales forecast.
– Manage portfolio of opportunities
– Follow up in a timely fashion and provide timely and accurate feedback on leads and referrals generated from trade shows, vendor supplied leads.
Skill Building
– Maintain technical knowledge and effectively utilizes technology to efficiently manage the territory.
– Continue personal technical knowledge improvement by attending vendor training, reviewing vendor websites and literature. — Review’s competitor websites and literature. Subscribes to and reviews industry trade magazines.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR:
– 2+ years of experience of related industrial experience and/or training
– Possess own transportation.
– Good network in defined market i.e. OEM (General Industry, Automotive Industry, Electronics Industry), EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services);
– Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electronics Engineering / related field of study / equivalent training or experience.
– Above average PC skills and high proficiency with Microsoft Office products and windows-based software.
– Must be meticulous, with above average detail orientation, accuracy, and always follow-through.
– Ability to be self-directed and individually resourceful, working independently but also within a fast-paced team environment.
– Always maintain professionalism and have strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
– Ability and willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic and expanding company.
