Senior Shopify Developer

About the company: We are a small, U.S. based e-commerce brand, looking to hire a full time Senior Shopify developer.

Requirements:

At least 3 years experience with Shopify development.
At least 1 year of experience working full time for an e-commerce company.
Experience with page speed optimization and Google Analytics.
Expert in theme integration, customization, HTML/CSS, SCSS, MySql, AJAX, JS, JQuery, and third-party API integrations.
Ability to correctly estimate and manage tasks.
Ability to think strategically and creatively to overcome technical limitations and challenges.
A strong understanding of responsive web design techniques.
Knowledge of Shopify best practices, as well as good knowledge of Shopify CMS.
Knowledge of Shopify’s object/properties, AJAX API, metafields, and Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating.
What you’ll do:

Create code that expands the current theme and shop functionalities.
Translate static designs or interactive Figma prototypes into code, using Shopify development tools like Shopify CLI and languages like Liquid, HTML/CSS, JavaScript.
Configure and modify 3rd party apps such as Recharge subscriptions, warehouse management software integrations and post-purchase upsell flows.
Research 3rd party app functionality, capabilities, and limitations. Provide recommendations on the best configuration to meet our objectives.
Hunt for bugs and test across major browsers and mobile devices.

About you:

Excellent verbal and written English skills.
Work hours that overlap 9a-5p EST (New York hours) for at least 4 hours per day.
Stable and fast home internet connection.
