We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team and lead the development of our Navigation SaaS platform for the space industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, system design, and an in-depth understanding of star mapping technologies. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable navigation solutions for spacecraft.

**Key Responsibilities:**
– Lead the design and development of a scalable star mapping navigation system for spacecraft.
– Architect and implement a SaaS platform that provides real-time star map data and navigation services to multiple clients.
– Develop algorithms to determine spacecraft positions using star mapping and calculate optimal trajectories considering gravitational influences.
– Ensure high availability and reliability of the service by handling real-time updates and data consistency for multiple spacecraft.
– Implement secure data transmission protocols between spacecraft and the SaaS platform.
– Optimize search and processing algorithms for large star catalogs to enhance navigation accuracy.
– Set up and maintain a CI/CD pipeline to ensure seamless deployment and updates to the platform.
– Collaborate with astronomers, aerospace engineers, and software developers to integrate various components of the navigation system.
– Conduct thorough testing and validation of navigation algorithms under simulated space conditions.
– Stay updated with the latest advancements in space navigation and star mapping technologies.

**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
– 7+ years of experience in software development with a focus on system design and algorithm optimization.
– Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
