Senior UI/UX Designer (Shopify/eCommerce)

Freebird, personal care company, is looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to be the first internal UI/UX Designer at Freebird, and to work on designing and creating beautiful user experiences with a focus on conversion optimization and improving website performance metrics such as CVR, AOV, and RPV.

As the UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for improving the overall user experience of our site, including but not limited to the homepage, navigation, promo banner, product pages, collection pages, AJAX cart, cart page, checkout upgrades, upsells and cross-sells, and landing pages.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with leadership, agency partners, and developers to bring designs to life
Create and implement innovative design solutions for Freebird’s e-commerce platform
Conduct research and analysis of user needs and behaviors, and develop user personas, user journeys, and wireframes
Design and develop high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to stakeholders
Continually improve the user experience by analyzing user feedback and data, and making data-driven design decisions
Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and best practices in e-commerce and DTC design

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
At least 3 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing e-commerce and DTC design work
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience working with development teams
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts to stakeholders and team members
Knowledge of user research methodologies and the ability to conduct user research and analysis to inform design decisions
