EasyDrive Canada is a revolutionary car marketplace aiming to transform the way people buy and sell vehicles across Canada. We’re seeking an experienced Senior Website Developer to lead the development of our platform, incorporating innovative features and ensuring a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Full Stack Development: Lead the end-to-end development of the EasyDrive Canada website, including front-end and back-end components.
2. Database Design: Design and manage the database architecture, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
3. User Authentication: Implement robust user authentication and authorization systems, ensuring data security and privacy.
4. VIN Decoding: Develop a VIN decoding feature to extract vehicle information accurately.
5. Valuation Engine: Create a pricing calculator that provides accurate vehicle valuations based on various parameters.
6. Safety Certificate Integration: Integrate a system for users to upload and verify recent safety certificates.
7. Subscription Plans: Implement subscription plans for private sellers and car dealerships with varying features and pricing.
8. Weekly Public Auction: Develop the Weekly Public Auction feature, allowing private sellers to list vehicles for dealerships to bid on.
9. Payment Processing: Integrate secure payment processing for subscription fees, auction fees, and other transactions.
10. Responsive Design: Ensure a responsive and user-friendly design for both desktop and mobile platforms.
11. SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search rankings.
12. Analytics: Set up analytics tools to monitor user behavior, site performance, and other key metrics.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Senior Website Developer, with a portfolio showcasing previous projects.
* Proficiency in full-stack development, including front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (, Python, Ruby, etc.) technologies.
* Strong knowledge of database design and management (SQL, NoSQL).
* Experience with user authentication and authorization systems.
* Familiarity with VIN decoding APIs and pricing calculation algorithms.
* Expertise in integrating payment gateways and implementing secure transactions.
* Understanding of responsive design principles and SEO best practices.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
