Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer to join our team on a part-time basis and help us build a website similar to StarterStory. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the website, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of functionality and design.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain a WordPress website similar to StarterStory. This is our current site: /courses/
Collaborate with our team to ensure that the website meets our business needs
Create and modify custom WordPress themes and plugins to enhance the site’s functionality and design
Implement responsive web design principles to ensure that the site is optimized for all devices
Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise
Maintain and update the website’s content and database
Ensure that the website meets industry standards for performance, security, and accessibility
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web development and implement them as appropriate
Requirements:
Strong experience in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development
Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
Experience with responsive web design principles and frameworks such as Bootstrap
Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to implement them on a WordPress site
Strong understanding of website performance optimization and security best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
