About the Role:
The successful candidate will write and publish Archintel articles, playing a pivotal role in our organization, taking on greater responsibility for the ArchIntel accounts assigned to you while also providing support for other accounts as needed. Your daily duties will involve a wide range of tasks to ensure the delivery of high-quality content aligned with client specifications and our company’s standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversee assignments
Develop a strategic approach to assignment selection, considering client preferences and project objectives.
Take ownership of assigning tasks to junior writers and guest writers, ensuring alignment with client specifications and project goals.
Help lead the team
Provide consistent leadership alongside editors by overseeing and guiding junior writers’ daily activities.
Foster a collaborative and productive environment within the team, promoting engagement and high-quality output.
Create advanced content
Produce expert-level written content on a daily basis, maintaining a meticulous focus on quality, accuracy, and adherence to client guidelines.
Demonstrate exceptional writing skills across a variety of formats, ranging from in-depth reports to complex analytical pieces.
Review and enhance content
Conduct comprehensive reviews of content generated by junior writers and guest writers, offering constructive feedback and ensuring a polished final product.
Apply advanced editing techniques to elevate the overall quality and coherence of the team’s output.
Collaborate
Collaborate with editors and other senior writers to curate and expand upon content created by junior team members, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive report, and to improve work tools and processes.
Help train and mentor
Help editors with training sessions for new writers, imparting comprehensive knowledge of writing processes, style guidelines and specific client expectations for various projects.
Serve as a mentor, assisting junior writers in their skill development and professional growth.
Master diverse content
Exhibit versatility by adeptly handling diverse content types — such as opinion pieces, notices, financial earnings press releases, read-outs or video transcripts, and long-form writing — and adapting to evolving project requirements.
Qualifications and skills
Job requirements include:
2-4 yrs of experience in News Writing or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Communications
Experience working in AP Style is a must
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Desire to go beyond the call of duty to produce the best content possible
Familiarity with WordPress, SEO, Social Media a plus
