Role Overview:

We are looking to find an experienced and highly knowledgeable On-Page SEO Expert who will be focused on content analysis and optimization. The person will be responsible in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting SERP, clients’, and competitors’ content data to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing website performance and search engine rankings.

Responsibilities:

Keyword Research & Optimization:
– Conduct in-depth keyword research using various methods and platforms to identify target keywords and phrases for our client’s websites
– Optimize website content for target keywords, ensuring proper keyword usage and density

On-Page SEO & Content Analysis:
– Optimize website elements, including meta-tags, headers, URL structures, and information infrastructure for improved search engine visibility and user experience
– Enhance website readability, formatting, and user experience to boost user engagement
– Conduct content audits to identify opportunities or areas that need improvements
– Analyze and create an internal linking structure
– Content re-optimization for target pages

Competitor and SERP Landscape Analysis:
– Perform competitor analysis to understand and implement best practices for on-page optimization
– Analyze the SERP landscape to help determine what type of content to produce
– Analyze and provide recommendations for optimizing content with schema markup and structured data implementation for rich snippets and enhanced search results

Content Creation & Collaboration:
– Create content briefs for writers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality, SEO-friendly content
– Collaborate with web developers to ensure on-page SEO optimizations are effectively implemented

Required Skills and Experience:
– 5-7 years of proven experience in on-page SEO, including optimizing website content, meta-tags, headers, and URL structures
– 3-5 experience working for an SEO agency where part of your main role was on-page and content optimization
– In-depth knowledge of keyword research, competitor analysis, SERP landscape, customer journey, and search intent
– Experience with keyword research tools, such as Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
– Basic HTML and CSS knowledge for optimizing website elements
– Strong attention to detail
– Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
– Experience with content management systems, especially e-commerce platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, etc.
– Knowledge of analytics tools, such as Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, heatmaps, scroll maps and Google Search Console
– Familiar with screaming frog and other SEO audit tools
– Implementing E-E-A-T principles
– Have utilized NLP and LSI in improving content
– Worked on websites on different verticals
– Exposure to various content formats and platforms, such as blogs, videos, and landing pages.

Bonus Experience & Skills:
– Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
– Experience with copywriting and content tools like Surfer SEO
– Familiar with Google’s Quality Rater Guidelines
– Familiar with the different common SEO plugins like Yoast, all-in-one SEO etc.
– Good understanding of off-page SEO techniques, such as link building and social media engagement.
