SEO and Web Performance Specialist

The main platform being used is WordPress, and we are looking for a motivated and skilled SEO and Web Performance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background with WordPress, and in improving website’s search engine optimization and web performance (using Google LightHouse to benchmark, with a strong foundation in coding principles, Google tools, SEO tools, and CMS plugins. Your role will include working on a daily basis with 5 regular businesses, and your week will mean that you get to spend one day a week with each business and their needs. This provides a wonderful variety to your week, and it will be far from boring.

Responsibilities:
1. Implement and manage SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and maximize website visibility.
2. Conduct website analysis including, but not limited to, CSS Coding and Mobile/Web (HTML5) analysis.
3. Use tools like Google Lighthouse to optimize website loading speed, and Google Search Console to monitor website performance.
4. Collaborate with content creators and marketing team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented.
5. Image resizing for optimal load times, speed optimization, and correct alt-tag usage.
6. Utilize SEO tools such as UberSuggest (Neil Patel) for SEO recommendations and strategies.
7. Implement and optimize Yoast SEO plugin for website content.
8. Optional Experience would also be desired in the following platforms:
> REACT programming.
> CRM platforms, such as OntraPort, HubStaff, Copper, ZOHO CRM,
> Implementing DNS security with CloudFlare
> YouTube Channels
> Backlinks
> E-Commerce experience such as Shopify

Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in SEO and web performance optimization.
2. Knowledge of CSS, HTML5, and other relevant web design coding languages.
3. Proficient with Google Search Console and Google Lighthouse.
4. Experience with SEO tools such as UberSuggest and other industry-standard tools.
5. Familiarity with Yoast SEO plugin.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or relevant field. (This is preferred but not necessary with relevant experience). We are looking for someone with 3 years’ experience and above, in a senior/developer role.
