Role: SEO Content Manager
Contract: Full-time Remote Contractor (160 hours monthly)
Business Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM PST
Rate: $1,200 USD – $1,500 USD monthly / $14,400-$18,200 USD annually (Rate is negotiable based on experience)

What you’ll do

As an SEO Content Manager, you’ll dive headfirst into crafting compelling content strategies that not only boost our online presence but also resonate with the company’s audience on a deeper level. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that every email campaign and D2C flow is finely tuned for maximum impact, driving up open and click-through rates while fostering authentic connections with the customers. You’ll be the creative force behind blog content, infusing each piece with SEO magic and our brand’s unique voice. Collaborating closely with the company’s talented team, you’ll dig into competitor research, fine-tune their website’s structure, and even sprinkle some YouTube stardust to elevate their channel’s performance. And through it all, you’ll be their trusted guide, navigating the ever-changing seas of digital marketing with confidence and flair.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Email Marketing/Copy/SEO Management:
* Develop and execute D2C email campaigns aimed at increasing open rates and click-through rates to meet Klaviyo target benchmarks.
* Create engaging email campaigns adhering to the 70/30 rule with a strong call to action aligned with consumer needs and brand values to drive sales.
* Utilize video content for email campaigns focusing on Education, User Generated Content (UGC), Influencer Generated * * * Content, and brand purpose and values.
* Review and optimize existing email flows while adding new ones to enhance educational content and engagement.
* Implement strategies to increase open rates and click-through rates in Klaviyo.
* Manage product review flows to increase the review count per product and create wireframes for all flows.
* Develop weekly B2B marketing campaigns using Pipedrive for the USA and UK lists, focusing on education and sales.
* Create flows for B2B customers, aiming to increase open rates and click rates in Pipedrive campaigns.
– SEO Implementation and Management:
* Perform website optimization, including page titles, meta descriptions, URLs, headings, page content, blog content, internal links, alt text, and other critical areas.
* Perform competitor and keyword optimization to establish targets for implementation.
* Generate baseline reports for current rankings, traffic, and leads, ensuring all good SEO practices are maintained.
* Optimize site structure and conduct technical audits to implement fixes and monitor progress.
* Collaborate with the content team to optimize metadata and content and propose additional pages to fill content gaps.
* Build backlinks to websites with similar content to enhance community growth and improve rankings.
– Youtube SEO Optimization:
* Optimize channel titles and meta descriptions to improve engagement and ranking.
* Improve ranking and engagement to attain Google advertising approval, signaling credibility and authority in our field.
– Creative Blog Writing Driven By SEO:
* Transcribe 30+ video podcasts into blogs, incorporating interview videos, pictures linked to product pages and links to other product pages.
* Rewrite and edit past blog posts with keywords optimized for Google search.
* Write original blogs addressing key consumer queries supported by visuals and videos.
* Research and write blogs to improve website ranking and visibility.
– Copywriting for all platforms and print:
* Edit and rewrite product pages with SEO-optimized keywords for Google while maintaining brand voice consistency.
* Generate copy for print materials, presentations, contests, and sales emails aligned with brand messaging and objectives.
– Reporting and Analytics:
* Analyze and report on email marketing and SEO analytics using tools like Klaviyo, SEM-Rush, Google Analytics, and Ahrefs.
* Set a baseline for current rankings, traffic and leads to ensure all positive SEO on the website is carried into all recommendations moving forward and that custom dashboards are generated accordingly.
* Share daily tasks with the CEO at the beginning of the day and an update on what has been completed and what’s in progress at the end of the day.
– Miscellaneous:
* Improve community engagement by encouraging more comments, fostering a sense of belonging, and establishing ourselves as the foremost authority in hair education and authentic narratives of personal journeys and successes.
* Setting and meeting daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
* Collaborating with the team and contributing to strategic marketing meetings.
* Ensuring all content aligns with the brand voice and follows the 70/30 rule.

What you should have

– Proven experience of at least five years in Digital Marketing.
– Proficient in software or tools like Google Workspace, Klaviyo, Asana, Youtube Studio, Dashlane, Shopify, Google Analytics,
Google Search Console, Ahrefs and SEM Rush.
– Experience working with e-commerce companies that market products and companies that sell on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, or Amazon.
– Experience working remotely for a US or UK company is a must.
– Experience working with companies in the fashion or beauty industries is a big plus.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
– Familiarity with influencer marketing, including KPI setting and ROI measurement.
– Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
– Knowledge of analytics tools for tracking sub-departmental KPIs.
