Job Description

I’m looking for an SEO Content Writer to join us full-time, remotely. This isn’t just another typical writing gig – it’s a chance to make a real impact with a fast-paced startup.

Here’s the deal:
I need to start producing high-quality, engaging content that truly represents our brand and provides real value to our users. But here’s the thing – we don’t want to churn out stereotypical, SEO-stuffed blogs that people skim and forget. We’re after that sweet spot: content that’s casual, readable, and genuinely helpful, while still performing well in search results.

I don’t want to have to tell you what to write, how to format it, or how to optimize it. I need someone who can understand our brand, our users, and our goals, and just run with it. Someone who can spot content opportunities and execute on them before they become missed chances. Someone who can see what needs to be written and just… write it, in a way that feels authentic to us and useful to our readers.

What we need you to help out with:
– Creating content for our blog, website, and marketing materials. We need a lot of it, and it needs to be good.
– Managing our content calendar. Make sure we’re publishing regularly and hitting our marketing targets.
– Keeping an eye on how our content is performing. If it’s not working, we need to know why and how to fix it.
– Updating our older content. Keep it fresh and make sure it’s still bringing in traffic.
– Writing in a way that’s engaging for readers but also plays nice with search engines.
– Owning our brand voice across all content. You need to nail our tone consistently.

What we’re looking for:
– You’re able to be online when we’re on. That means Monday – Saturday (9AM PST – 6PM PST).
– You’re able to write and speak English clearly like it was your first language.
– You’ve had at the minimum 2 years of experience as an executive/personal assistant to a US business owner.
– You’ve have experience in writing content specifically for Saas blogging.
– You know how to use SEO tools like Ahref, Semrush, Moz, and can pick up new tools quickly.
– You’re able to use AI tools like ChatGPT to help speed up your workflow.

You shouldn’t apply if:
– You want to make a ton of money in the short term. This role has a lower salary, and is more focused on long-term profit sharing/equity.
– You need to be told step by step what to do. This role requires you to tell me what we need to do.
– You can’t take ownership of projects. This role isn’t about getting tasks, it’s about taking ownership of the entire project, if you need to be able to take on pressure at an extreme level.
– You can’t onboard yourself. This role will provide you with minimal instructions, you’ll need to ask the right questions, and then be curious about everything else within the company.
– You want to do the least amount of work. This role requires you to go above and beyond your “job description.”
– You can’t be online when we are. This role requires you to be online with us, there’s no exceptions and no negotiations on this. We want to ship our product and in the end and make money for everyone on the team.
– You can’t fill out our application correctly. This role requires you to be detailed in your work, if you can’t do the basics you might as well not apply.

On the question where we ask “In which city do you currently reside?,” put “spark” so I know you’re not a robot.
