SEO Content Writer (Expert in Silos and Clusters)

18-year-old US company with a technically-strong, tenured Filipino team is expanding.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Content Writer to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SEO best practices, with a particular focus on content siloing and clustering strategies to enhance our multiple website’s search engine rankings and user engagement.

Responsibilities:
– Craft high-quality, original articles, blog posts, and other forms of engaging, informative content that align with our SEO strategy, business objectives, and the company’s voice as a respected authority in the intimacy, relationship, and wellness niche.
– Perform in-depth keyword research to identify high-potential keywords and phrases to target, utilizing these insights to guide content creation and optimization efforts.
– Develop and implement a content silo structure that organizes content into specific themes or topics, creating a logical hierarchy on our website.
– Build topic clusters around these silos to cover various aspects of the main theme, linking related content to signal relevance to search engines.
– Optimize all content for SEO by incorporating targeted keywords, OG and meta descriptions, headers, and internal linking strategies. Stay updated with the latest SEO trends and algorithm updates to continuously refine and improve content strategies.
– Collaborate with the email and marketing teams to plan and execute a content calendar that supports and enhances our SEO objectives.
– Analyze content performance and adapt strategies as needed to achieve optimal results.
– Work closely with other departments, including marketing, email team, web developers, and social media team to ensure content aligns with broader company goals and user experience standards.
– Suggest prompts for graphics to complement your copy.
– Experience and working knowledge of prompt generation for ChatGPT, Claude, and emerging services in the AI space.

Requirements:
– Proven experience as an SEO Content Writer, with a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in content siloing and clustering strategies.
– Strong understanding of SEO principles, content marketing, and the role of content structure in search engine rankings.
– Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to produce engaging content that resonates with our target audience.
– Proficiency in keyword research tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner) and SEO platforms.
– Ability to analyze content performance metrics and use data to inform content strategies.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– Ability to write in the style of American English.
– Training or experience in long-form online, direct-to-consumer copywriting structures is a bonus.
– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.

We are restructuring 5,000 article posts spanning two decades into a series of hierarchical content more easily searchable by the Google algorithm. 80% of the copy that you’ll produce will be based on existing content, packaging our valuable and actionable content in the voice of our branded experts, whom you’ll learn.

This is a full-time position. All employees must use TimeDoctor and average 40 hours per week to keep their full-time status and benefits.
