SEO Content Writer/ WordPress/ Affiliate Marketing Manager

This position is for a SEO-focused content writer. You will be responsible for strategizing, creating, editing and optimizing various types of content, including website/landing page copy, blog posts, email, social media titles and descriptions.

Additionally, you will have a thorough understanding of SEO best practices as they apply to content development, and will apply SEO strategies to pages, blogs, and social content.

The blog article will serve as the outline for the YouTube video and for short form videos for Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and TikTok. You’ll be creating well-researched blog content that will have relevant affiliate links in the article. The point of creating these blog articles is not only to rank high, but primarily to convert traffic into sales. Knowledge of SEO processes, headline strategy, keyword placement, internal linking, etc. is a must. Knowledge of WordPress and plug ins for WordPress is a must. Beyond SEO writing, you’ll need to capture the heart and soul of my brand and write content that people can’t wait to read more of.

THIS IS NOT technical writing. This should be informative, but also light, friendly and conversational. Think Jimmy Kimmel, Trevor Noah, Jimmy Fallon for inspiration of writing style.

You must be capable of researching and writing about specific, niche topics relevant to Medicare and adult children who assist their aging parents. Blog articles are going to either:

1) Answer a specific question- (All these topics can have links to products and services that would help the reader)

Example: What are the best adult diapers for Mom?
Example: What is the best work from home side gig for Dad?
Example: What is the best game to help dad with his memory?

2) Review post- (All these topics can have links to products and services that would help the reader)

Example: Top 5 Walking Shoes for Aging Parents
Example: Viagra vs. Cialis
Example: Top 7 memberships You Must Get For Mom and Dad as They Get Older

To do this you must be a great marketer and a quick learner (must be a self starter and someone who is willing to watch tutorials on YouTube and read blog articles to figure out how to do something if they do not know. Target demographic is adult American citizens in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Write clear, SEO-focused articles that are readable and engaging
Ability to generate a high volume of well-researched content per week
Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
Submit work for input and approval
Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines
Post to WordPress and ensure links work as well as optimization for mobile
Understand my brand and use that brand voice in all content
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
Update past content as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Impeccable written English (preferably American English)
Able to use AI to assist in creating quality content at a fast pace (Chat GPT, Jasper AI)
SEO
Wordpress knowledge
Affiliate marketing knowledge
