Job description

We are looking to find an experienced, highly knowledgeable, data-driven SEO Operations Manager / Head of SEO to form a key part of our agency’s growth.

The right candidate will be highly skilled in all things SEO, including Management of an Existing SEO team, Building SEO strategies, and always up-to-date with SEO best practices/methodology.

Your in-depth knowledge of SEO, Operations and Team Management, as well as a willingness to learn our existing processes will see you succeed in this role. This role has growth opportunities in its future, and the right candidate will see this happen.

Your responsibilities will include:
– Supervise and lead a team of SEO specialists
– Oversee the implementation of On-Site, Off-Site & Technical SEO strategies
– Conduct market and keyword research to develop content and keyword plans
– Set SEO performance goals and measure them using KPIs
– Devise strategies and ensure they are executed within deadlines and don’t exceed our budget or allocated time
– Monitor and analyse ongoing SEO campaigns to identify problem areas and suggest ways for improvement
– Review and optimise content according to SEO best practices

Requirements:
– 7+ years of experience working in an SEO leadership role (Manager, Head, Etc.)
– To have successfully managed a team of SEO staff in the past
– A data-driven approach and strong analytical mindset
– Extensive experience with SEO campaign management and strategy creation
– To have experience in creation of SEO processes and workflows
– Knowledge of the best on-site and off-site SEO practices
– Experience using popular website crawlers and tools (ScreamingFrog, DeepCrawl, and Moz), SEO analysis tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, and SEOptimer), and web analytics software (WebTrends, UserTesting, and Google Analytics).
– Strong leadership and multitasking skills.
– Can understand and analyse GA4, GTM and GSC data.
– Familiar with different CMS – wordpress, ecommerce platform.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Detail-oriented, analytical, organised.
– Agency experience is a must.
– Strong English, written and verbal.
– A desire to share their knowledge and train others
– To be able to work autonomously and from home
– To be pro-active and self-motivated

Preferably can:
– Create meaningful KPIs and reports to be delivered daily, weekly, and monthly to the internal team and executives.
– Audit and maintain/improve SEO performance for our web properties and brands.
– Function as an internal subject matter expert in guiding teamson the best approach for SEO (i.e. site architecture, canonicalization, web crawlability, and indexability, page speed, markup, etc.).
– Collaborate with key people to develop project roadmaps and execute effectively in a timely manner
– Serve as a thought leader on the subjects of technical SEO and user journey pertaining to product funnel, heat mapping, and A/B testing design elements.
– Identify obstacles on-site and work with developers to optimise their results.
