SEO Research Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Research Analyst with a strong background in digital marketing and SEO to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying high-quality websites for outreach purposes using advanced tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush. This role requires an analytical mindset, deep understanding of SEO tactics, and the ability to distinguish between high-quality and low-quality websites, including PBNs and spam sites and paid links.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Identification and Evaluation:

Utilize SEO tools such as Ahrefs and SEMrush to identify potential outreach targets.
Assess websites based on various criteria including domain authority, content quality, and relevance to our objectives.

Differentiate between quality websites and potentially harmful ones, such as private blog networks (PBNs) or spam sites.

Outreach Strategy Development:

Implement outreach strategies like the resource page link building and skyscraper method to identify the most effective outreach targets.

Analyze competitor backlinks and content strategies to uncover potential outreach opportunities.

Database Integration:

Add identified websites to the Pitchbox database, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded.

Coordinate with the Web Research team to facilitate efficient email discovery and outreach processes.

Create reports detailing findings, progress, and insights from research activities.
Work closely with other teams, including Web Researchers and Marketing, to align efforts and share valuable insights.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a similar analytical role.

Proficiency in using SEO tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush.

Strong understanding of SEO tactics, including resource pages and the skyscraper technique.

Ability to identify and evaluate the quality of websites effectively.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in data management and reporting.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Pitchbox or similar outreach and link-building tools.

Familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and digital marketing.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
