Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable SEO Specialist to ensure our clients’ online presences are optimally managed and continuously improved.

About Our Agency:

Our marketing agency helps drive leads to clients located around the US and Canada. Enhancing Local SEO is a key method we use to drive more traffic to the website and business. From on-site optimization for SEO to optimizing and maintaining Google Business Profiles we ethically do whatever it takes to enhance local SEO to boost our client’s search rankings, increase traffic, and generate more leads.

Responsibilities:
1. SEMRUSH REPORT MANAGEMENT: Export all SEMRush errors, warnings, and notices for each client. Create and assign tasks in our project management system, ensuring that Strategic Account Managers are informed and can verify priorities.
2. SITE HEALTH REPORT RESOLUTION: Directly engage in resolving issues identified in SEMrush health reports for each client, ensuring optimal site performance and compliance.
3. GOOGLE BUSINESS PROFILE MANAGEMENT: Perform monthly updates on Google Business Profiles for each client, checking and optimizing business details, services, and links. Address and reject inappropriate changes from Google or users.
4. ON-PAGE SEO OPTIMIZATION: Daily, review and suggest on-page SEO improvements for several clients using various SEO tools, such as meta tag optimization and content improvements. Implement approved SEO enhancements to enhance page rankings and site usability.
5. INTERNAL LINK OPTIMIZATION: Evaluate and enhance the internal linking structure of client sites post-new content publication. Adjust links to ensure they are optimally placed, utilize effective anchor texts, and prioritize key pages.
6. OFF-SITE SEO: Familiar with creating, checking, and editing citations to manually troubleshoot broken links and ad hoc issues.
Work with the Strategic Account Managers to research and develop new strategies, approaches and products
Any ad hoc requirements as requested by the Strategic Account Manager

Qualifications:
– Proven experience in SEO and familiarity with tools like SEMrush, ahrefs, Search Console, Local Falcon, GA4, and Screaming Frog.
– Strong understanding of Google Business Profile management and optimization.
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
– Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and account managers.
– A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills. You enjoy coming up with strategies and continually testing your hypothesis
– Excitement and passion for SEO and a keen desire to continue learning
– Commitment to deliver quality work every time and able to accept constructive feedback to learn and grow
– Consistently grow your SEO knowledge by reading Search Engine Land/Journal, Backlinko, and related marketing blogs and YouTube videos to keep up to date and test new ideas
