Nautical Staffing is looking for a Local SEO Specialist for our US-based client in the water heater industry.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular website audits, optimize content, meta tags, images, and perform keyword research to ensure technical SEO issues are rectified and content is optimized for search engines.
• Develop and execute backlink-building strategies, manage online citations, and oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality blog content to improve domain authority and search rankings.
• Optimize and maintain our Google Business Profile, Google Maps, and Google Local Services Ads (LSA) profile to improve local search visibility and attract local clients.
• Respond promptly to new reviews, questions, messages, etc. submitted via Google Business Profile and similar profiles/venues.
• Collaborate with the content team to develop and implement a robust content strategy that aligns with SEO goals and ensures all marketing materials are optimized for local SEO.
• Monitor and analyze SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console, generate regular reports to track progress, and refine SEO strategies based on data-driven insights.
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in our SEO strategy and stay updated with industry trends and algorithm changes to remain competitive.
• Work closely with the marketing, content, and web development teams to integrate SEO best practices across all channels and effectively communicate SEO strategies and results to stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest local SEO trends, tools, and best practices, and test and implement new SEO techniques to continuously improve our search performance
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience as a Local SEO Specialist or in a similar role.
• Nice to have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing on-site and off-site SEO, including backlinks, citations, and content optimization.
• Experience with Google Business Profile and Google Local Services Ads.
• Proficient in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with a start-up company is a plus.
• Willing to work full-time during US business hours
