Job Description

We’re looking for a reliable and highly responsive SEO strategist to help our agency serve our SEO clients.

What you’ll be doing on a recurring basis:
-Create monthly SEO reports in our tool, Agency Analytics, for 10-12 clients and analyze the data to provide action plans. We want you to highlight wins and make any recommendations based on what the data shows. If traffic is down, we want to see a written explanation of possible causes and next steps to take. We have streamlined report templates built but need written analysis added.
-Do ad hoc keyword research in Ahrefs for suggesting blog topics. This can range from anywhere between 1-10 blogs per month.
-Choose the target URLs and anchor text keywords for 2 backlinks per month that we generate for a client.
-Be the go-to person for answering SEO questions that our account coordinators have or receive from clients. We’ll add you to our slack channel to communicate with our team and we need mostly same-day replies to questions or communication.
-This collective work typically takes around 5-10 hours of work per month so our budget is a flat $500/month retainer for this freelance position. The adhoc projects below will be paid separately.

Ad hoc projects:
-Complete technical SEO audits. Deliver a spreadsheet with errors/summary and slide deck that gives an overview and prioritization recommendations.
-Create SEO strategies for new clients. This includes doing keyword research to map keywords to website pages, suggest new website pages, and create a strategically prioritized 6 month blog content calendar with primary keywords selected for each blog post. This also includes exporting competitor ranking comparisons and updating SEO slides in our strategy recommendation decks.

Qualifications:
-Be highly detailed. We want someone who perfectly proofreads their SEO reports and double checks all graph dates before submitting them.
-Quickly wrap your head around new industries and identify optimal content topics that will attract our clients’ ideal customer profiles/personas
-Knowledgeable on SEO, internal linking best practices, backlink strategies, keyword targeting, and content marketing strategy.
-Experience using Ahrefs
-Experience in Google Analytics and Search Console
-Experience with doing SEO audits for different site sizes and CMS platforms.
