SEO Writer (Food niche)

I’m looking for an experienced SEO writer for a part-time or freelance role to help write food & drink-related articles for our foodie media site. The articles will range from 1,000 to 2,500 words and will be covering recipe & how-to articles, restaurant reviews and food products listicle articles.

We expect the SEO Writer to do the following:
1. Read through Content Briefs to understand our blog articles’ editorial standards and housekeeping rules.
2. Research the topic assignment thoroughly without plagiarising any content.
3. Write the blog article while abiding by all SEO requirements and content requirements as instructed in the Content Brief.
3. Submit 1st draft of the blog article within the time limit (the deadline is usually within 1 week).
4. Make any SEO or content-related edits as requested by the editor.
5. Submit invoice for payment upon completion of every blog article.
We will provide at least 1 article per week, with the word count ranging from 1,000 words to 2,500 words. The payment rate will be on a word-count basis.

Requirements for the job:
– Experienced in SEO writing in English
– Great at researching new topics related to Food & Drinks
– Can communicate clearly and professionally
– Can use tools such as Grammarly for plagiarism and grammar check (we will provide access).
– Payment is via Paypal. You must have an operational Paypal account. (Sorry, but I will not assist in setting this up for you.)

Start date: Immediately

Please note that I base my decision on mainly on #(2) and (3) above.

Assessment:
If you are selected, we will respond to your application with a test assignment.
– You will be asked to write a 1,000-word test article based on the Content Brief attachment we will provide.
– This test assignment will be unpaid. It is solely for assessing your professional writing, research and SEO skills.
– If you pass the test assignment, we will hire you with the following pay rate (see below).

Pay:
– The pay rate is US$0.04 per word and article word count. We expect you to send a Paypal invoice to us upon submitting your 1st draft.
– We payout on the 14th and 28th day of the month. You must submit a detailed invoice by those dates, and then I pay within 48 hours (sometimes a bit longer if on a weekend).
