Server Administrator

ERCxpress is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Server Administrator with expertise in setting up cloud servers using coding languages. As a Senior Server Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our server infrastructure, with a strong focus on utilizing coding languages to configure and manage cloud servers. Responsibilities:

-Utilize coding languages (such as Python, Ruby, or PowerShell) to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based server infrastructure, including virtual servers, storage, and networking components.
-Implement coding best practices for server security, performance optimization, and scalability.
-Monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and leverage coding solutions to ensure smooth operation.
-Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues using coding skills, providing excellent customer support.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute server-related projects, utilizing coding expertise.
-Conduct regular server maintenance, updates, and backups using coding languages to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery.
-Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in server administration, cloud technologies, and coding languages.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Server Administrator, with a strong focus on setting up and managing cloud servers using coding languages.
In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proficiency in coding languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, PowerShell) for server administration tasks, including setup, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Experience with scripting languages for automation and task scheduling.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator).
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
