Position Overview:
We are seeking a versatile SharePoint and Azure Administrator to join our IT team. This role requires expertise in both SharePoint administration for content management and collaboration solutions, as well as Azure administration for cloud infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in SharePoint and Azure services, with the ability to deploy, configure, optimize, and maintain these platforms to support our organization’s operational needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
SharePoint Administration:
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server environments.
Manage SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, permissions, and workflows.
Monitor SharePoint performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement SharePoint solutions aligned with business goals.
Azure Administration:
Design, deploy, and manage Azure virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and other Azure services.
Implement Azure security best practices, including RBAC, Azure AD integration, and NSGs.
Monitor Azure resources for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
Implement and manage Azure backups, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
Integration and Support:
Integrate SharePoint with Azure and other systems to enhance functionality and streamline business processes.
Provide technical support to end-users for SharePoint and Azure-related issues.
Train users on SharePoint and Azure best practices and new features.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain documentation of SharePoint and Azure configurations, processes, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in SharePoint and Azure administration.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a SharePoint Administrator and Azure Administrator, with hands-on experience in both platforms.
Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site collections, content types, permissions, and workflows.
In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure AD, and Azure Security.
Experience with Azure monitoring and management tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Resource Manager).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in SharePoint and Azure environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
Experience with SharePoint migrations, upgrades, and hybrid environments.
Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation in SharePoint and Azure.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, or other Azure PaaS services.
