We’re a software company building solutions for e-commerce businesses. We’re looking for a talented and driven Shopify App Developer to join our team to help us build a membership app that will be published in the Shopify App Store. This app will allow store owners to create membership tiers and offer exclusive benefits to their customers and recurring revenue.
Responsibilities:
1. Build a Shopify app that allows store owners to create and manage membership tiers.
– Tier 1: No membership required.
– Tier 2: Discount or other benefits (e.g. free shipping).
2. Make sure the app meets Shopify’s requirements and is eligible for the Shopify App Store.
3. Implement a user account system where customers can:
– View active/inactive subscriptions.
– Cancel or resume memberships.
– View past orders and invoices (normal and membership related).
4. Build a backend system for store owners to manage memberships, view subscription data and customise benefits.
5. Provide detailed documentation and support to ensure the app is deployed and used smoothly.
Requirements:
– Shopify app development experience.
– Proficient in languages used for Shopify app development (e.g. JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, ).
– Knowledge of Shopify’s API and ecosystem.
– Problem solving skills and critical thinking.
– Good written and spoken English.
– EU hours availability
Nice to Have:
– Front-end experience (e.g. React, ).
– Database and backend knowledge.
– Payment gateways and recurring billing experience (Shopify Payments/Stripe)
– Clean, maintainable and documented code.
– Communication and collaboration skills.
– Self-motivated and time management.
– E-commerce or membership/subscription experience a plus.
