Shopify Designer/Developer

About the role
We are looking for talented and motivated Shopify Developers to join our e-commerce team and get flat daily pay to build and optimize Shopify websites for our clients. As a freelance position, you will be compensated based on the number of Shopify projects you deliver.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
Use Shopify to build responsive, modular, robust, and secure Shopify websites and web apps.
Optimizing and updating existing Shopify website performance and responsiveness.
Develop and maintain clients Shopify stores, ensuring they are functional, efficient, and up-to-date.
Work closely with the design team to implement creative solutions for customizing and enhancing clients’ online stores.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical difficulties that arise with client stores.
Stay current on new Shopify features and updates, and advise clients on best practices.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions to meet those needs.

How it works:
Once accepted into our network, you get daily notifications about orders matching your skills.
You will have access to our dashboard to review project details, including deadlines, and will also have access to a private Slack channel for communication and collaboration with clients.
Every 2 weeks, you bill us for all your completed orders, and we direct deposit amounts owed to your bank account within 2 business days.

Compensations:
Compensation includes a flat rate of $30—$60 per Shopify task/hour, bi-weekly payouts for completed tasks, and bonuses and incentives. So, there is no need to fight for clients or pitch without the promise of pay.

The minimum requirements for this position include the following:
200+ hours of experience in Shopify/Liquid Development
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Write well-structured (Vanilla) JavaScript
Familiarity with headless development and Shopify stores (Hydrogen/Tailwind)
Fluent or native English speaker
Experience with Shopify Apps and APIs
Comfortable building front-end templates using JSON APIs
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Respect the average project turnaround of 24–48 hours per order
Remote, freelance position with the freedom to choose when and where you work
Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills, and design skills
Good interpersonal skills and client-handling experience
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software such as Sketch, Canva, and Figma
Team player with a sense of humor

Pluses:
Solid backend full-stack dev experience.
Digital agency experience
Created Shopify apps (public or private) in the past
