We are a fast-growing Sports brand based in the Netherlands. Currently, our marketplace is mainly in Europe, but we’re planning to expand to the rest of the world this year. Take a look at our website to explore our brand:
What is this project?
Like I mentioned above, we want to expand internationally (especially UK, USA) very soon.
Right now, our website & Shopify store is made for € countries and languages. We translated everything with the Weglot app and used an automatic currency conversion app.
We could scale with this structure internationally with the help of Shopify Markets, but then we have the issue with:
1. Local payment methods not working for foreign currencies.
2. Shopify taking ~2?efor every order that is not € (our store’s base currency)
and way more smaller issues that can be prevented.
Basically, how we want it to be structured is like the following brand:
As you can see on their website, you automatically get redirected to your local store in your currency (or international). They have made a separate store for each currency (probably on Shopify Plus).
Your job is to recreate this structure for our brand. We are currently on the advanced plan, but will switch to Plus for this.
So in summon:
– Structuring International domains per currency we want. For example, , , etc.
– Structuring Shopify Plus backend with multiple stores
– Making sure every customer gets redirected to the same website automatically based on their location. If there is no specific location for them, sent them to the main website.
– Doing all this without any bugs, seemingly structured, exactly like
Again, I want it to be structured the same as , research their International structure with currencies and domains before applying.
