Shopify development agency, being Shopify Partners and Experts we work with businesses all over the world. As the market and company are constantly growing and developing, we’re looking for an experienced Front End developer to join our team.
What you will be doing:
You’ll be part of a team that plans and executes the development phase of client projects.
The ability to drive projects from start to finish with a focus on delivering quality results is essential. Your strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be critical in ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
Responsibilities include:
Build responsive websites.
Browser and device test all of your work.
Collaborate directly with our designers to turn design prototypes into fully functional websites.
Communicate technical solutions to team members in a clear and concise manner.
Shopify Developer Responsibilities
Working with multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Quality assurance of all your own work, and having ownership of all your work is extremely important.
Excellent communication on tasks, project updates, client communication but verbal and written communication.
Create bespoke Shopify themes and change pre-existing templates per pre-defined brand guidelines
Be an expert in all aspects of the ECommerce platform
Work with the UX and UI Design Teams to create unique, strong, and inventive front-end user experiences
Ensure a smooth connection with Marketing Tools, Platform APIs, and Shopify Apps to optimise the shop for overall efficiency and functionality
Test and debug websites regularly to improve performance
Based on their findings, they provide technical support and coordination, protecting enterprises against failure
Increase conversion rates by optimising your website
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
Be a contributing member within the overall Shopify development team
Working with UX and designers to produce tight, forward-thinking, responsive and scalable front-end experiences
Building out custom Shopify theme and functionality leveraging pre-existing themes depending on the scope of the project
Ability to move between customer projects, understand business needs that drive features and be consultative throughout
Be a great team player – supporting other team members and solutioning through challenges
Strong worth ethic and attention to detail
Studies latest features of Shopify Plus and can make recommendations to customers when applicable
Take ownership of daily work and tasks, work proactively and collaboratively to solve problems, communicate status, track time daily, deliver results, meet timelines, and client expectations.
Build efficient, testable, and reusable code
Identify quality apps and optimize production efforts
Maintain high performing codebases and solve complex performance problems
Support architecting and estimating new Shopify tasks & projects
Communicate with managers about any issues or concerns
Help Project Managers stay organized and up-to-date with projects and tasks by effective and transparent communication
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by learning, applying and educating team on best practices for Shopify
Taking initiatives in open discussions requiring inputs from the development team
Contribute to code documentation and development workflows
Frontend (FE) and/or Backend (BE) Development per project
Attend and collaborate in Client Meetings as needed to assist PM team answer technical questions
Architect and estimate solutions for Front End & Back End features as needed for new build and maintenance projects
Assist with client Documentation and training for new features and functionality as needed
Experience working within task management platforms like Jira / Teamwork / Asana
Desired Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years experience as a Shopify developer, working in a team environment – both Frontend and Backend, with a Solid understanding of Shopify Plus eCommerce technologies and how they apply to a given solution. one or more active Shopify certifications preferred.
Minimum 1 year agency environment experience
Capable of learning new technologies and platforms quickly and able to apply them to solve complex problems
Intermediate level knowledge of Javascript / Jquery, HTML5, and CSS3
You’ll be a strong candidate if:
You have strong Shopify template, debugging and front-end skills.
You write clean theme code and can add and debug JS.
Work with Shopify 2.0 themes and Best practices
You have hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, including large-scale project.
You’re capable of providing guidance/advice and estimates for different approaches.
You have strong communication skills.
You excel working in a remote, telecommuting environment, meaning you’re autonomous, self-driven, responsive, transparent, and self-organized.
