ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for an experienced Shopify Developer that will be responsible for helping our client create, modify, and maintain Shopify/Shopify+ websites for e-commerce brands. You’ll need to be extremely familiar with the Shopify ecosystem and have the technical ability to fully customize websites from scratch (or from a Figma file). Your goal is to consistently improve the performance and conversion rate of the websites as well as enhance the UX for customers interacting with the sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Develop and maintain Shopify/Shopify+ websites
– Customize Shopify themes and Liquid code, integrating with third-party applications when needed
– Ensure that all Shopify websites are optimized for performance, security, and usability
– QA all code and ensure that websites are functioning as expected
– Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to identify CRO opportunities and make customizations as needed
– Ensure that all deadlines are met and all work is produced in a timely manner
– Gather insights to identify areas for improvement and optimization
QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
– 3+ years of experience working with Shopify/Shopify+, Shopify Storefront API, and Shopify Liquid
– Strong expertise in Shopify development, including creating and maintaining Shopify websites, creating and customizing Shopify themes and apps, and managing integrations with third-party applications
– Experience with website optimization, including performance, speed, security, and usability
– Excellent understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React/Reactive Native, and Figma
– Professional fluency in English with top-tier written, reading, and speaking skills
– Outstanding project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
– Permanent access to a computer with reliable and high-speed Internet connection
– Ability to work in any US time zone, Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)
– Previous experience working the graveyard shift
– Nice-to-have: experience with Gmail, Slack, and Asana
