Job Summary:
As the Site & SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing search engine optimization strategies to improve our website’s ranking and visibility on major search engines. In addition, supporting the growth and effectiveness of our various web properties by building and updating web content for the ultimate user shopping experience.
Responsibilities and essential duties:
-Help maintain our product catalog that uses external APIs on Shopify, including new product creation, product content management, pricing/SKU accuracy, sales channel, taxonomy, and inventory management.
-Accurately implement product launches, visual merchandising, promotions, and other marketing programs throughout the site, including the homepage, NAV, blogs, categories/PLPs, PDPs, collection and landing pages, and contact capture forms, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
-Maintain brand guidelines across the website and develop page templates for categories/PDPs, PLPs, blogs, and other site pages focused on seamless customer experiences.
-Improve existing product listings and help drive the success of new product launches, ensuring consistency and accuracy of pricing, imagery, categorization, and cross-sell/upsell product recommendations.
-Monitor and maintain Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) strategies across sites.
-Determine appropriate keyword targets for on-page elements including page titles, meta descriptions, page headings and HTML heading structure, alt-image tags, etc.
-Conduct quality assurance and enable SEO/SEM across all digital written channels (blog, website pages).
-Identify technical SEO issues regarding crawling, indexation, and page speed.
-Recommend changes to website architecture, content, internal linking, and other factors to improve SERP positions.
-Maintain and ensure ADA and GDPR compliance across international and national websites.
Preferred skills and competencies:
-Associate’s degree or higher in web development or a related field
-3-4 years of experience with development, Shopify+ is a bonus.
-Minimum 2 years experience in E-commerce site development
-Familiarity with NetSuite
-Expertise in Shopify’s Liquid templating language and strong hand on experience in installing & customizing new Shopify themes
-Experience with website content management systems (CMS)
-Success with technical site optimization, identifying appropriate targets based on data.
-Working knowledge of Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SEO/analytics/admin platform tools (SEMRush, MOZ, Google -Keyword planning tool, GA, Google Search Console, etc.)
-Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
-1-2 years of experience in E-commerce, DTC marketing, or a related field ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
