Shopify Product Researcher

Hi,
We need a new employee to search for new products that we can sell using Shopify in Eastern Europe.
Your tasks will be:
– Search for new products
– find suppliers on Alibaba for these products
– write the product description
– edit images and prepare 5-6 photos for the listing
– give us 3-4 main benefits of the product that we will use for our ad copy
– search for videos for the products
A few types of products that we can’t bring to our warehouse:
– products that contain batteries that have a weight of over 10g
– beauty products
We need products that aren’t extremely oversold in other countries, but we can try to test them if your research shows that the product has potential.
The products shouldn’t be over 200 grams and shouldn’t be very voluminous. We have our own logistics company that handles the entire shipping process for big orders. For our first order, you need to negotiate the shipping price with the Chinese supplier with DHL/FedEx/UPS DAP)
We don’t have a specific niche, so you can search for products in any niche.
We prefer products with a low cost of acquisition, ideally 2-5$, and a potential selling pricing of 15-40$.
You will work with our Fiverr translator. You’ll send to her the text in English and she will translate it into Romanian.
We need a full-time employee( 40 hours a week). We are willing to pay you 500$ a month plus performance bonuses.
Before talking about being our full-time employee, we want to test your skills for a week. You will work for free for that week and we will give you an evaluation at the end of the week. We had experience with employees from the Philippines we hired and their results were extremely bad, so we won’t hire you until you can prove your skills.
If this week will bring us at least 1 product that proves to sell, we will hire you.
Additionally, for each winning product that you find for us, you will receive a bonus of 50-100$, depending on the volume the product brings us.
For example, lets say you’ll find for us a product that brings us under 10k $ revenue monthly. In this case, you’ll receive a 50$ bonus. If you’ll find a product that brings us over 10k $ monthly, you’ll receive a 100$ bonus.
You will work directly with me during testing, without adding you to our Asana/Shopify/Fiverr team.
