Job Title: Virtual Assistant – Shopify & Squarespace Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant – Shopify & Squarespace Manager to join our team. As the Shopify & Squarespace Manager, you will be responsible for efficiently managing our Shopify and Squarespace websites, ensuring a seamless shopping and browsing experience for our customers. Your primary duties will include managing and updating our product inventory, adding photo content and descriptions, creating engaging blog posts, implementing innovative strategies to enhance our shop platforms and designs, creating weekly emails, researching and implementing complementary plugins, and actively updating website content. This is a part-time position, offering flexible working hours of either 4 hours every day or 2-3 full 8-hour days per week.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain our Shopify and Squarespace websites, ensuring products are accurately listed, visually appealing, and with compelling descriptions.
Regularly update the product inventory, add new arrivals, and remove discontinued items, ensuring consistency across both platforms.
Add photo content and update product descriptions for new arrivals and existing inventory, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
Create engaging and informative blog posts that highlight our products, industry trends, and related topics to drive customer engagement and brand loyalty.
Continuously monitor and optimize the shop platforms and website designs, proactively identifying areas for improvement and suggesting innovative solutions to enhance the user experience.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling weekly emails, including product highlights, promotions, and announcements.
Conduct thorough research to identify and evaluate complementary plugins, apps, or integrations that can enhance our Shopify and Squarespace websites’ functionality, improve sales, and streamline operations.
Implement approved plugins and monitor their effectiveness, making necessary adjustments as needed.
Actively update website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements, to ensure an up-to-date and visually appealing online presence.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to e-commerce, Shopify, and Squarespace, bringing new ideas to the table for continuous improvement.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including customer support and logistics, to ensure smooth order processing, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, conversion rates, website traffic, and blog engagement, providing regular reports and insights to the management team.
Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects related to e-commerce, Shopify, and Squarespace as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:

Proven experience working with Shopify and Squarespace, and managing e-commerce stores is required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling product descriptions, engaging blog posts, and create attractive email content.
Proficient in image editing software and basic HTML/CSS knowledge to make minor adjustments to the website designs.
A creative mindset with a keen eye for aesthetics, design, and storytelling through blog posts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices for e-commerce and blogging is a plus.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes and new technologies in the e-commerce and website management landscape.
