As a social media manager, you’ll manage our organization’s online presence by implementing our social media strategy.
You’ll lead campaigns and projects across a range of social media channels, managing posting and distribution of our content, analyzing engagement data, building client relationships, and facilitating customer service.
Responsibilities
Tasks for this role may vary based on the day to day needs of the company, but as our social media manager, you’ll typically need to:
Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Manage and interpret audience data
Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
Monitor, track, analyze, and report on performance on social media platforms
Identify trends to help with planning content creation
Optimize content to further encourage community interaction and engagement
Analyze competitor activity
Recommend improvements to increase performance
Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement and loyalty
Working hours
You’ll usually work our normal core business hours, 9am to 5.30pm EST, Monday to Friday. However, you may work longer hours, including evening and weekend work, if working towards a time-sensitive campaign or client deadline.
Qualifications
Your qualifications or experience should include:
At least 1 year managing public-facing social media accounts
Mastery of native posting tools available through Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and YouTube
You have engagement skills and strategies used to grow Instagram an TikTok accounts AND CAN SHOW THEM IN REAL TIME during the interview process.
Additionally, experience with the following subjects would also be helpful:
Advertising
Business management
Journalism
Marketing (particularly digital and social media marketing)
Media and communications
Public relations
Social Media usage and analytics

You’ll need to have:
A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to advertising/branding and customer behavior.
Strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful tweet to using effective storytelling techniques
Knowledge and understanding of algorithms and search engine optimisation
Strong written and verbal communication
Excellent team-working, collaboration, and networking skills
Organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and work across multiple projects
Project and campaign management skills
Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines
Skills in data analysis and interpreting statistics
Online community management and customer service skills to strike the balance between public responses and direct discussion with potential and actual customers
An eye for detail and the ability to work accurately

Be really good at bringing in engagement and real followers to instagram pages. Must have some sort of excel sheets/and or screenshots to show proof on how many followers you are able to bring in the the platform on a weekly and monthly basis as a result of your strategies. Some video scripting background. In scripting short-form & long form videos
some related experience managing fairly popular social media profiles, alternatively a portfolio of your past work including the engagement metrics for each post you created or published.
