Short-form Video Editor

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented part-time video editor to join our team and transform captivating moments from our podcasts into bite-sized content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. We currently have a platform reaching over 50 million users monthly. This is a VERY easy job. We only ask for 20-25 short form videos per week!
What You’ll Do:
Watch and listen to podcast episodes to identify interesting, informative, or funny clips.
Edit podcast clips into short-form videos (ideally under 60 seconds) optimized for each platform’s specifications and trends.
Utilize creative transitions, text overlays, captions, and royalty-free music to enhance viewer engagement.
Maintain a consistent visual style and brand voice across all short-form content.
Work collaboratively with the podcast team to understand content and target audience.
Stay up-to-date on the latest short-form video trends and editing techniques.
What We’re Looking For:
6 months to 1 year experience.
Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
Proven experience editing short-form video content (familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts a plus).
Strong understanding of storytelling principles and the ability to condense information into an engaging format.
Excellent editing skills in software like CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar programs.
A creative eye for visuals, music selection, and motion graphics (a plus).
The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
A passion for the podcast’s content area (a plus).
Bonus Points:
Experience editing audio (for adding sound effects or music)
Experience with creating motion graphics or text overlays
