Shortform Video Editor

We’re looking for a passionate, motivated, and intuitive video editor specializing in short form content for all platforms.

Style: Self-improvement,

We want to upload 2 times per day to multiple platforms

Denmo’s channel focuses on male self-development including: dating, social skills, entrepreneurship, mental health & more.

We currently need an editor who can do AT LEAST 15 videos per week, but we can provide extra content if you can produce more at one time.

Responsibilities:
– Editing 14 – 20 Shorts per week
– Contribute to Pre-packaging (title/description and thumbnails) for your videos
– Track performance and review retention data of your edits
– Pay close attention to comments on the videos you edit

Skills:
– Passionate about visual effects and sound design to enhance the story.
– Understands good pacing and retention.
– Has a sense of humor, and can add funny memes
– Has good intuition on when to use certain camera angles/clips vs others, and when to switch between the two/use a split screen for more visual appeal/better retention.

Results:
– You will maintain a 6 video buffer for Denmo’s content (stay 3 days ahead of uploads at all time)
– Grow an engaged audience
– Provide high quality & beneficial content for the audience

Job requirements
– Deep understanding of the Social Media space – storytelling, pacing, and strategy
– Versatility with multiple video formats (talking head, vlog)
– Strong motion graphics background
– Experience with sound design and mastering
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Proven success on social platforms as the editor for growing channels
– Speed and clarity in communication (primarily Whatsapp)
– Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change
– 1+ years of relevant experience in shortform video production

Candidates must be fluent in: English
Minimum years of experience in related fields: 1+ Years

1. Go to the following Google Drive link (instrcutions included):

2. Access the “Raw videos to edit” folder and select 2 shorts
3. Edit these shorts in your desired style
4. Upload the shorts to a Drive folder and include it with your application.

Doing this will show your work ethic, ability to follow instructions, and that you’re a high value editor looking for steady work.
