Overview:
We’re looking for a creative and organized individual to keep our sites fresh, our assortment relevant, our customers satisfied, and our margins on track. You will report to the Director of Merchandising on the Merchandising team. You’ll work cross-functionally to understand business priorities and update the site to support those priorities. You’ll need to be a stellar communicator because you’ll be working closely with remote teams to deliver timely results on high-visibility assortments and projects.
What You’ll Do:
– Maintain and enhance merchandising data such as category pills, topics, filters, search tags, and keywords to maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately and in shoppable ways within CafePress
– Support marketing initiatives ensuring that designs showcased on landing pages, home pages, and emails are higher up in curations prior to email sends & updates
– Monitoring and reporting on competitors and market trends
– Managing product and shipping prices, upsells, and attaching offers.
– Working with product management to set up and launch new products
– Working with customer service to investigate escalated inquiries
– Performing daily site audits to validate content and offers
– Plan, maintain, and create curations: the organization and rank of SKUs on our sites.
– Organize and rank SKUs in curation to optimize relevance for the CafePress customer considering data such as sales, newness, trends, and highest converting images, and balance that data against your creative judgment of what visually looks best.
– Maintain curation calendar to track progress and ensure all updates, particularly seasonal changes, are delivered on time with excellence
– Review new seller content and add good content into curations
– Work with CafePress Merch teams to ensure new product pages are curated prior to launch
– Monitor and analyze the performance of product and category pages, seeking ways to improve the online catalog based on data
Requirements:
– English proficiency
Written: fully fluent, comparable to a native speaker
Spoken: fully fluent, doesn’t need to sound like a native
– Up to date with the latest merchandising trends, culture & politics (US: fully in tune |UK, CA, AU: a plus)
– High level of creativity with a keen eye for what constitutes good design/illustration
– Excellent visual acuity and love of organization
– Commitment to quality with meticulous attention to detail
– Problem-solving skills with the ability to review data and formulate a plan of action
– Must be a self-starter, goal-oriented, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
– Passionate and knowledgeable about customer behavior, always curious about what customer likes and wants
– Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and Google Applications
– Able to work in either EST or PST
Working Arrangements:
Fulltime Independent Contractor
Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
9 AM to 6 PM either Eastern or Pacific Time
This is a work-from-home position.
