My name is Shirley. I own a small but growing creative studio that focuses heavily on video editing both short-form and long-form content. Many of the themes that we work with are art, tech, business, sustainability, and beyond, often using animation and VFX as our medium.

I’m on the lookout for a seasoned video editor who can walk beside me on this journey, sharing the creative workload. While I’ll provide the primary video content and numerous assets, I wholeheartedly welcome fresh perspectives, ideas, and feedback. Our canvas is diverse, spanning long and short-form content tailored for platforms like YouTube, YouTube Shorts, IG Reels, and TikTok. Expect everything from candid, vlog-style “Behind the Scenes” snippets to fun “what-if/prototype” videos, lively events, invigorating challenges, and more. And yes, some projects will beckon intensive VFX and animation wizardry.

Your role will include:

-Crafting video edits for both bite-sized and in-depth content.
-Working with motion graphics/2D/3D animation elements or characters within scenes.
-Incorporating VFX to elevate the immersion and narrative.
-Collaborating on a range of other creative challenges as they emerge.

Skills and qualifications:

-A solid 3+ years immersed in video editing, with a focus on content tailored for platforms like YouTube.
-A portfolio or reel that showcases your editing prowess.
-Proficiency in software tools like After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Nuke, CapCut, or equivalents.
-A clear understanding of the intricacies of video editing for varying platforms.
-Strong narrative instincts to weave stories that resonate.
-An eagle’s eye for detail.
-Ability to grasp new techniques swiftly.
-A self-starter’s spirit, capable of delivering without micro-management.
-Stellar time-management skills.
-Familiarity with 2D/3D animation software like Blender, Maya, Adobe Character Animator, ToonBoom Harmony is a cherry on top, but not mandatory.
