Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy and Creation. Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with our mission to inspire, educate, and empower leaders. This includes generating ideas, creating engaging and thought-provoking content for YouTube and social media platforms, and adapting the content to suit different digital formats and audiences.
Digital Marketing and Social Media Management. Implement digital marketing strategies to enhance our brand’s online presence and audience engagement. Manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analyzing engagement data to refine strategies and increase our reach and impact.
Research and Trend Analysis. Conduct ongoing research to stay abreast of the latest trends in leadership, digital content creation, and social media engagement. Use insights to inform content development and ensure our messaging is relevant, impactful, and ahead of the curve.
Video Production Support. Assist in the end-to-end video production process, from planning and scripting to editing and publishing, ensuring high-quality content that resonates with our target audience.
Community Engagement and Growth. Actively engage with our community across platforms, fostering relationships and building an engaged and loyal audience. Implement strategies to grow our follower base and increase interaction within our community.
Analytics and Performance Tracking. Monitor and analyze performance metrics across all digital platforms to gauge the success of content and marketing strategies. Use insights to make data-driven decisions for future content and campaigns.
Brand Voice and Message Consistency. Ensure all content and communications consistently reflect our brand voice and mission, helping to build a strong and recognizable brand identity.
Collaborative Planning and Feedback. Work closely with me to refine ideas, strategies, and content. Be open to giving and receiving feedback, with a constant aim towards improvement and innovation.
Project Management. Efficiently manage content calendars, deadlines, and project timelines, ensuring all content is planned, created, and published according to schedule.

Skills and Qualifications
Content Creation and Strategy. Demonstrated experience in content creation, including writing, graphic design, and video editing. Ability to develop and implement content strategies that engage and grow an audience.
Digital Marketing Expertise. Proficiency in digital marketing techniques, including SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, and analytics. Experience with marketing tools and platforms is essential.
Social Media Savvy. In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (e.g., YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram) and their respective best practices for growing an audience and engaging with a community.
Research and Analytical Skills. Strong ability to conduct research, analyze trends, and use data analytics tools to inform strategies and measure performance.
Excellent Communication. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and engage effectively with an audience.
Video Production. Experience with video production processes, including scripting, filming, and editing, to create compelling visual content.
Project Management. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain a content calendar.
Adaptability and Creativity. High level of creativity and adaptability to new trends and platforms, with a knack for storytelling and presenting ideas in innovative ways.
Brand Development. Understanding of how to develop and maintain a brand’s voice and identity across all content and communications.
Background in Public Relations/Affairs or Marketing. Preferably, candidates will have a background in public relations, public affairs, or marketing, with experience in building brand awareness, handling media communications, and developing public engagement strategies.
Leadership and Self-Motivation. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead projects with minimal supervision. A passion for leadership development and a desire to make an impact in this space.
Team Collaboration. Experience working in collaborative environments, willing to give and receive feedback, and able to integrate into a team working towards a common mission.

Exercise 2: Launching a YouTube Channel not more than 1 A4 pages)
I would love to start a YouTube channel. Propose a plan for starting and managing this YouTube channel that aligns to broaden visibility and establish thought leadership.

Tasks.
Describe the steps you would take to set up the YouTube channel, including channel naming, branding, and initial content themes.

Exercise 3: Blog Post Draft and Social Media Campaign
Could you please create a draft for a blog post and outline a social media campaign that leverages this content?

Tasks
Write a draft for a blog post titled “The Importance of Networks in Empowering African Women and Girls.” The post should be around 500 words, aiming to educate readers about the importance of networks in supporting leadership roles for women and girls in Africa. Include an introduction, a detailed middle section, and a conclusion that encourages reader engagement.
Social Media Campaign. Based on the blog post, develop a week-long social media campaign for Instagram designed to raise awareness about gender equity issues in Africa. Provide a brief strategy that includes daily post ideas that align with the blog post’s theme and describe how you would motivate followers to engage with and share the campaign.
