About the Role:
I am a leadership coach and I am looking for a part-time virtual assistant to manage social media (content, visibility, engagement) and start email marketing in the next 2-3 months. Additional responsibilities will be available in the future.
Objectives:
(1) Establish thought leadership and brand awareness and to establish/develop
connection.
(2) Nurture relationships through thoughtful email champaigns with content.
Responsibilities:
1. Weekly social media posting –
• Create short video posts (by reviewing my video learning programs and cut / extract content in short clips into new tiny videos) that are 60-90 seconds long each), save the tiny videos to my Vimeo account. Create leadership related
quote images using my Canva design (I am open to new design ideas too).
• Send the draft content to me for review/feedback then finalize (the goal is to
have content ready at least 2 weeks in advance), organize content in a way that’s easy to track.
• Each week, post 1 tiny video and 1 quote image on Linkedin (my primary platform for engagement), Facebook (consider using reels for morevisibility/reach) and Instagram based on ideal posting time. Write relevant text for each video post and include relevant hashtags for each post. Double check to make sure all is showing up properly. Send me a message to let me
know it’s done. Track and report social media performance, increase visibility and engagement, and make recommendations.
• Not urgent, could later explore the appropriateness of using Linkedin
Newsletter feature instead of regular posting.
2. Email marketing
• Over the first 2-3 months, we may start targeted email campaign to nurture relationship (I use MailChimp). Write content. Would need to
connect our effort on social media with email marketing (how to get people engaged in social media so they sign up for email s etc). Track and
manage performance. May discuss strategic use of ads to increase reach but not a focus for the first few months.
• Propose ideas for potential ways to grow email list linked to my MailChimp
account and segment as appropriate. If we want to create lead magnet, let’s make sure we holistically look at that effort with social media video posts (may be a series of short videos become a package as a free offering which will become content for an email campaign).
Requirements:
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Need to be able to understand and write about leadership topics – you will be able to watch my leadership learning videos.
• Proven experience in social media management and email / digital marketing. Proficient in using social media platforms and management tools.
• Video editing skills. Can upload videos to my Vimeo account.
• Graphic design skills with proficiency using Canva.
• Strong client communication skill is essential, including responsiveness and extremely high say-do ratio.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively. Willing and able to challenge the client and present better ideas.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines.
• Available to have a weekly zoom call for planning and alignment.
