Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Social Media & Marketing Coordinators: Managing, Overseeing, guiding and training to achieve targets and budgets.
• Devise an effective marketing & social media initiative that will increase awareness and maintain positive perception of the Hotel, its activities, culinary services, and offers.
• Knowledge of travel industry, local market/area, social media trends, competitors, new competition trends, current market trends and economic factors
• Ability to understand and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Assist in preparation of the annual Marketing and Social Media plan, sales reports, performance of ads/campaigns and annual budget.
• Ability to effectively listen, communicate and perform diplomacy with all staff, internal and external customers and all stakeholders.
• Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community
• Following, daily, weekly and monthly checklists.

• Direct and manage all marketing and social media activities to maximize revenue for the hotel.
• Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic marketing plan, weekly/monthly reports, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required.
• Participate in Manager on Duty Program
• Maintaining strong key relationships with existing and repeat business and ensuring any opportunities to upsell or maximise revenue is explored
• Utilising all forms of communication, face-to-face appointments with 3rdparty suppliers and social media avenues to drive business
• Managing and consistently updating the hotel website content, all social media platforms and third-party online partners.
• Managing and coordinating the Digital Marketing campaigns
• Attending marketing & social media seminars, networking opportunities or exhibitions on behalf of the hotel, maintaining a professional approach when representing the hotel and actively pursuing any sales/marketing opportunities
• Attending all required hotel meetings ensuring any required reports or documents are provided. Prepared to lead any marketing and social media meetings
• Demonstrating excellent communication with the internal team and working closely with all colleagues in all areas of the business to maximise revenue
• Ensuring the pro-active follow-up of all business initiatives and potential marketing leads / opportunities
• Ensuring hotel best practice standards are implemented throughout to the highest of standards

• Ensuring all marketing is contracted in line with company terms and conditions
• Recruiting, managing, training and developing the team to ensure they have the required skills and knowledge to thrive in their role.
• Driving high levels of employee engagement, including conducting weekly, monthly and annual 1:1’s and reviews for team members.
• Attending and contributing to daily, weekly and monthly hotel operations meetings/reviews
• Ensuring hotel facilities and services are accurately marketed in line with agreed standards and produce tactical offers to support business needs
• Liaising with operations to deliver excellent customer service throughout the customer journey
• Monitoring customer feedback, online reputation platform and keeping an eye on hotel positioning and updating the management team accordingly
• Lead, coach and motivate your team and those around you with your knowledge and enthusiasm
• Implement the strategy for the leisure, corporate, business travel, meeting and events and wholesale market segments along with the General Manager and Revenue Manager
• Taking part in commercial reviews, forecasting and sales activity planning.
• Participate in the marketing efforts to drive food and beverage revenue.

MARKETING
• To create a Leisure and Corporate marketing and social media strategy and implementation plan, working with SME and Sales Manager to identifying future opportunities for brand enhancement.
• To deliver marketing campaigns for all business areas in partnership with SME and Sales Manager and ensure relevant coordination across the Sun Hotel Limited company in line with Hotel budget and social media calendar plan.
• Assistance in managing the marketing budget including seeking opportunities for increased external support.
• To work with colleagues to develop marketing collateral, including for recruitment and tendering opportunities and brand(s) awareness.
• To take responsibility for external PR & Marketing events and maximising opportunities for communications activity.
• To monitor member and partner satisfaction through market research and feedback and identify actions and campaigns to enhance wherever possible.
• To act as the custodian for the Corporate Brand(s).
• To represent Sun Hotel Limited and properties under the umbrella.
• Update website via word-press, SEO and blogging.
• Awareness and knowledge of the local market, and be up to date with local events and utilise opportunity.
• Create Online Social Media Ads, flyers, general presence to attract the right audience – Focusing on ROI and Budget for every ad/campaign
• Work alongside company in finding new revenue streams, and how to market/advertise.
PR
• To identify press opportunities both internally (programs) and externally (policy & industry/sectors)
• To keep a diary of press communications activity
• To develop corporate messages and disseminate proactively.
• Liaise with our external PR company to help organise events, update and promote events
Social Media
• To be responsible for all social media activity (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) and managing corporate social media accounts.
• Create campaigns and ads for relevant properties and the offerings.
• Monitoring, managing and altering ads & campaigns when required.
• To work with the General Manager and partners to support campaigns and initiatives
• Seek opportunities to improve the use of social media and develop ‘followers’
