Job Description

The Social Media Assistant plays a key role in executing Home Service Academy’s social media strategy. This position involves posting content, crafting engaging captions, interacting with the audience, managing Instagram stories, and handling basic data entry tasks. The Social Media Assistant works closely with the CMO and Creative Director to ensure consistent and effective communication across various social media platforms. The Social Media Assistant is a crucial member of the team, helping to build and maintain a positive and engaging online presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Posting:
– Execute the posting schedule outlined in the social media strategy across all platforms, ensuring timely and consistent content delivery.
– Upload and publish content, including images, videos, and other media types.
Caption Writing:
– Craft compelling and creative captions for all social media posts, ensuring they align with the brand voice and messaging.
– Collaborate with the marketing team to develop caption content that resonates with the target audience.
Engagement and Community Management:
– Monitor and respond to comments and mentions on social media platforms promptly and in a friendly tone.
Instagram Stories:
– Create and post engaging stories on Instagram, utilizing features like polls, questions, and quizzes to encourage audience interaction.
– Collaborate with the design team to develop visually appealing and on-brand story content.
Data Entry:
– Perform basic data entry tasks related to social media metrics, such as tracking post performance, engagement rates, and follower growth.
– Compile and organize data for regular reporting to assist in assessing the effectiveness of social media efforts.

RESULTS:
– 2-3 posts a day per social media platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn)
– Consistent and engaging social media content will enhance our online presence, contributing to increased brand visibility and lead generation.

QUALIFICATIONS
– Prior experience in social media management or a related role
– Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging and on-brand captions.
– Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their features.
– Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
– Experience with Facebook/Google Ads is a plus
– Creative thinking and the ability to contribute fresh content ideas.
– Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

SALARY & HOURS:
Full-Time
Monday – Friday | 8 AM – 5 PM PST
