Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our amazing team and help Tom’s Key Company grow as a valued team member. The person we hire for this position will be responsible for organic social media including managing creating posts, interacting with followers, and creating content from available assets. Doing so successfully will strengthen the brand of the company and create engagement and interest in our products to help gather interest and convert people into customers.

About Tom’s Key Company

Tom’s Key Company () is a quickly growing online store that provides do-it-yourself spare car keys and remote fob solutions to vehicle owners in the USA and Canada. This enables customers to save money over expensive dealership prices for an extra key or remote.

Responsibilities:

1) Schedule and manage posting of content on various social media platforms

*Prepare and post material multiple times per week on:

i) Facebook,
ii) Instagram,
iii) TikTok,
iv) X (Twitter), and
v) possibly other platforms like YouTube shorts / community, Pinterest, and/or Reddit.

*A part-time Social Media Strategist will assist in preparing a content calendar and providing oversight and guidance
during the first few months for the new hire.

2) Create content from existing company assets for social media platforms

*Manage your time and efforts to create content for social media platforms according to content schedule
*Develop engaging content for social media platforms. This includes images and videos for social media.
*Editing and producing images and video content for social media.
*Writing compelling and concise copy that aligns with brand voice.
*Manage creative process to meet content schedule to create and generate, edit, publish and share engaging content
multiple times per week, potentially daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)

3) Moderate audience posts, messages, and comments

*Monitoring and engaging with social media communities – \ both organic and paid social media posts as well as direct
messages.
*Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews

4) Overall management of organic (not paid) social media for the company

*Work with others in marketing and management to develop and deliver organic social media strategies that align with
business goals.
*Analyzing social media performance and using data to inform strategy.
*Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency
*Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube etc. profile pictures and blog layout)
*Collaborate with a paid social media team as needed for coordination. This role is not responsible for paid social media
ad-buying or creation of ads.

Requirements:

1) 2-4 years experience in social media management for a consumer brand , ideally for a USA based company.

2) ??Experience with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok is strongly desired. Also helpful is experience with YouTube, X (Twitter),
Pinterest, and/or Reddit.

3) Strong writing & editing skills that resonate with a USA based audience with ability to use remain in the brand-voice for
responding to comments, writing titles, and copy that engage appropriately with customers, drawing interest and
sparking curiosity in Tom’s Key Company.

4) Ability to create visually engaging image and video content from existing company assets (photos, video, and past social
media content), stock image/video material, and potentially AI generated.

5) Knowledge of social media trends & best practices

6) Experience with social media scheduling & analytics tools

7) Understanding of target audience & brand voice

8) Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

9) Comfortable with tight deadlines & multitasking

10) Self motivated with attention to detail.

11) Interest in automotive related things and home repair, improvement, or do-it-yourself projects is helpful.

12) Work during US Business hours (8am-6pm MT) for at least 75% of your shift.
