Job Description – Social Media Coordinator

DMC, a prominent digital marketing company, is presently in search of a committed and imaginative Social Media Coordinator with 2-5 years of work experience to aid in the implementation of our social media marketing initiatives.

Job Summary:

As a Social Media Coordinator at DMC, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of our social media presence. You will work closely with the Social Media Manager to implement the company’s social media strategy, create and schedule content, engage with our online community, and analyse performance metrics. The ideal candidate should have a passion for social media, a strong understanding of various platforms, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

? Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and content creators to develop and curate engaging and visually appealing content for various social media platforms.
? Create and maintain a content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent posting on all relevant social media channels.
? Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments and messages, and engage with the online community in a positive and authentic manner.
? Optimise social media posts for each platform, including crafting compelling captions, using relevant hashtags, and ensuring consistency with brand voice and guidelines.
? Track and analyse key performance metrics using social media analytics tools. Provide regular reports to the Social Media Manager with insights and recommendations for improvement.
? Conduct research to understand the target audience, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and identify opportunities for content and engagement.
? Assist in the execution of social media advertising campaigns, including audience targeting, ad creative coordination, and monitoring campaign performance.
? Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers, and marketing colleagues, to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals.
? Stay informed about social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to keep our social media strategy current and effective.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience in managing social media accounts for a brand or organisation.

Familiarity with various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.

Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to craft engaging and concise social media copy.

Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite) and analytics platforms.

Creative thinking and an eye for visual aesthetics.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Basic graphic design or video editing skills are a plus.
