We’re looking for an organized and agile team player to fill the role of ‘Community Manager & Junior Marketing Coordinator’ who is also an innovative creator to join our team.

This will start as a part-time contract opportunity and is a fully remote position. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social media even more than us. As a ‘Community Manager & Junior Marketing Coordinator’, you’ll work with our team to manage our social media accounts and grow & engage with our community on all our social media channels (currently Instagram and Facebook, but adding TikTok and YouTube in the near future). You will play a crucial role in strategizing, growing, and maintaining a strong brand presence through various activations. You’ll be responsible for driving community engagement, fostering business growth, and cultivating meaningful relationships with community members and business partners.

YOUR ROLE ON THE TEAM:

Community Building & Support
• Act as the primary point of contact for community members, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Build & manage relationships with influencers & brands to develop marketing partnerships & initiatives (giveaways, contests, content) to boost our social media presence and increase brand exposure
• Help support creator strategy including brainstorming ideas on how to recruit more community members and new creators for the brand, while supporting and building long-term relationships with existing partners.

Community Engagement:
• Work directly with our team to develop, coordinate, and execute our social media strategy to grow our community and increase engagement
• Keep up to date with pop culture, trends, creative communities and new technologies
• Develop, manage & execute activities associated with our social media & content calendar for every channel (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, email, blog) with strategies to increase brand awareness, audience growth, and customer engagement. Familiarity with Later, and Meta Business Suite is an asset.
• Plan and execute monthly content topics with the marketing team with the objective to maximize follower engagement
• Identify key community touch-points, events, and channels to promote brand awareness and foster strong relationships – such as Reddit, YouTube, Facebook, instagram, and Tiktok
• Leverage data insights to innovate and drive continuous improvements to Community campaigns.

Business Partnerships and Outreach:
• Identify potential business partnerships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in the coffee industry across social and digital platforms
• Conduct marketing research, generate leads, and build relationships with prospective wholesale partners for our sales team through social media channels and email outreach
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create promotional strategies and joint marketing initiatives with partner businesses.

Marketing Coordination:
• Work with graphic design software (and/or freelance designers) to produce high quality graphics for marketing initiatives and social media channels
• Work with our marketing team to manage & implement email content and promotions to our customer list of over 15,000 subscribers. Familiarity with Klaviyo (or an equivalent email marketing platform) is an asset

ABOUT YOU / REQUIRED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE:
When it comes to skills, we’re all learning on the go. We don’t expect you to know everything but you’ll have to be ready and willing to learn. In order to be successful at this role, you need to bring this to the table:

Must have skills or experience:
• 1+ years of experience community management, developing, and creating for digital/social/editorial
• 1+ years of experience building communities, collaborating with partners, and managing influencers
• Excellent english written & verbal communication
• You’re an excellent communicator who understands how to scale relationships between the organization and the community.
• You know how to communicate in a way that resonates with people and compels them to engage and take action.
• You have a can-do mentality. If you can’t do it now, you WILL figure it out. Success is the only answer.
• You are extremely self-motivated. This role is yours to create and we’re looking for you to take initiative without hand holding–and that should feel exciting.
• Attention to detail is your thing! You maintain a high degree of accuracy while adapting quickly to new information and new processes.
• You’re comfortable with constructive criticism. If we notice that you can improve at something, we’ll talk to you about it. We’ll be respectful, but direct and quick. Do not apply if you’re not comfortable with constructive criticism.

Optional but a big plus:
• Preferred at least 1 year of experience working in an e-commerce company (working with Shopify, Amazon, Dropship, etc.).
• Experience working at a start-up or dynamic company where you took on multiple functions/roles
• Experience optimizing/automating/improving processes
• Video publishing and/or graphic design experience
• A background or interest in writing or content strategy is helpful but not required
• Customer service experience and conflict resolution
• Experience creating, implementing, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training other team members
