I’m looking for someone who loves self-help books, spirituality, and Japan to help me promote my upcoming book. The book targets women 45–65 who are struggling to take care of everyone and everything (family, work, animal companions, and maybe even an aging parent) and feel like they have nothing left over for themselves. I need someone who loves writing for social media to help me share the ideas in my book on Facebook and Instagram (sometimes LinkedIn). Interest in self-help and spirituality is a must. Blog writing/content writing experience is a bonus.
INITIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Write in fluent American English, mimicking my voice
– Make sure that we are posting something daily
– Create content for Facebook and Instagram by repurposing my blog posts/essays/videos
– Write captions, research/choose hashtags to encourage audience interaction
– Design/modify images in CANVA to match brand guidelines (Templates available if needed). Brand consistency is more important to me than clever/unique designs.
– Batch and schedule social media posts 1-2 weeks in advance so we can review them together.
– Research what other authors are posting and share potential ideas during team meetings.
After we get to know each other, you might be responsible for helping me:
– Repurpose essays into blog posts
– Create content upgrades for blog posts
In other words, I’m more interested in someone with strong writing skills than design skills.

HOURS AND AVAILABILITY
Part-time, with the opportunity to move up to full-time.
Flexible hours – You can work wherever and whenever you want. However, you must have a good internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free space for our team meetings. We usually meet once a week on Tuesday or Friday morning (JST). Our communication is in English, but if you’ve ever studied Japanese, let me know. Any Japanese language skills would be a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
– Have a love of self-help books and spirituality
– Be fluent in written and spoken English
– Have social media savvy: you must have an active Instagram or Facebook account or can demonstrate that you have helped build one.
– Be willing to show up on camera for the team meeting
– Have a stable internet Internet connection
– Have a desktop or laptop, plus a headset and camera for audio & video
– Have access to a quiet, distraction-free working area for team meetings
