JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for someone who understands the field of functional medicine/naturopathic medicine/holistic medicine and is passionate about helping others transform their health and wellbeing from the inside out. Some understanding of mainstream medical terminology and practices is also useful.
We need someone who loves writing for social media to help us begin creating a consistent online presence and begin marketing the products and services that Mufarreh Wellness Institute (MWI) has to offer.
One of our core offerings that we would initially like to share is our line of CBD products. Prior knowledge about CBD and its benefits would be helpful. Blog writing/content writing experience is a bonus.
MWI’s Dr. George Mufarreh currently offers one on one consultations for individuals through his functional medicine virtual practice. The evolving vision for the Institute however, is to become an educational resource for people who appreciate and excel at learning via self guided courses and membership platforms.
Given this, applicants with strong writing skills, a passion for holistic health and an interest in growing with our company over time will be given priority.
INITIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Write in fluent American English
– Make sure that we are posting something daily
– Create content for Facebook and Instagram by repurposing materials provided and/or sourcing useful information from educational resources provided by Dr. George and team.
– Write captions, research/choose hashtags to encourage audience interaction
– Design/modify images in CANVA to match brand guidelines. Brand consistency is important
– Batch and schedule social media posts 1-2 weeks in advance so we can review them together.
– Research what other professionals are posting and share potential ideas during team meetings.
After we get to know each other, you might be responsible for helping us:
– Repurpose educational materials into blog posts
– Create content upgrades for blog posts
In other words, we are more interested in someone with strong writing skills than design skills.

HOURS AND AVAILABILITY
Part-time, with the opportunity to move up to full-time.
Flexible hours – You can work wherever and whenever you want. However, you must have a good internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free space for our team meetings (unless you have an office cat or animal friend who will try to share your screen from time to time like we do!) We will determine a mutually beneficial meeting day and time so that we consistently meet once a week at a fixed day and time. We are located in the United States in the Eastern time zone.
REQUIREMENTS
– Have a love of health and wellness.
– Be fluent in written and spoken English
– Have social media savvy: you must have an active Instagram or Facebook account or can demonstrate that you have helped build one.
– Be willing to show up on camera for the team meeting
– Have a stable internet connection
– Have a desktop or laptop, plus a headset and camera for audio & video
– Have access to a quiet, distraction-free working area for team meetings
