Job Description

We are a sports equipment e-commerce store and we require a full-time member of staff to assist us in our business.

We require someone to be very flexible in the tasks that they complete for our business as it won’t always be structured and we need the candidate to be able to move between tasks as required by the business.

At this moment in time, we need someone to complete three main tasks in the business.

1. Create content for our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) – PRIORITY
2. Create marketing emails – PRIORITY
3. Responding to customers via live chat and social media – EXTRA

1. Our social media channels have been neglected for too long and we feel that we are missing out on interaction with our customers and sales. We want someone to create content (via canva or other graphic designing tool) for our channels that is engaging with our customers and allows us to be more active on our profiles. We will guide you every week on what our ideas are for content for the upcoming week but we will like you to suggest good content too once you have understood our business.

2. We have a big email list of customers and we need to be sending them emails at least 2-3 times per week. Not all emails need to be targeted towards sales but any email content keeps our interaction with customers and keeps us in their mind. We would require you to compose and create emails and send them out to our email list. Once again, like the social media content, we will guide you at the start on what to send but then you can use your own imagination once you’ve understood the business more.

3. The content creation for social media and emails is the priority for this job, but we would like you to also respond to our customer messages on social media and also instant response via our live chat feature on our site. We will give you a guide that will help you with the best response to customer queries as a lot of the time it is the same questions (E.g. where is my order, do you have X product in stock etc.). For the first period of time, we don’t mind that you check with us for the best response to a particular query and then over time you get used to responding to our customers.

These are the key tasks initially for this role but as we said these tasks may change over time and we ask that you are flexible to the needs of the business.

This will be the very first hire for our business and we want someone that is determined and driven to succeed in this role and wants to learn and develop. This is not a short term hire, we want this person for the long term and we will reward this person for their long term loyal commitment to the company. Although you are based in a different country, we see you as a key member of our team and will have daily/weekly calls to ensure you understand the business and tasks at hand.
