Elix is a new femtech startup on a mission to give women’s health the attention it deserves – harnessing ancient wisdom for the future of chronic care, beginning with menstrual health. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Elix launched in 2020 with features in Forbes, Buzzfeed, Vogue, Healthline, and 100+ other media, Elix is proud to bring an East meets West approach to the conversation around women’s health.

What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking an ambitious, empathetic, and clever Social Media Listening & Engagement Associate. This role will be responsible for identifying ambassadors and engaging our community across organic and paid channels, inspiring people to tune in to the signals of our bodies .

Some Challenges You’ll Tackle:
Leverage a social listening platform to identify and engage with potential ambassadors and influencers
Provide input on ambassador and influencer marketing efforts based on the conversations taking place online and assist in expanding influencer outreach efforts
Monitor and respond to comments on our social media properties
Identify opportunities to leverage existing assets to facilitate conversations and further educate people about Elix and Traditional Chinese Medicine
Surface opportunities to create new video content in response to social media conversations
Continue to develop and refine how we communicate with social media users who engage with Elix
Identify relevant conversations that are happening online so that we can stay ahead of the curve and, where relevant, inject Elix into those conversations
Tap into community feedback and social media trends to inform new content
Support the organic social strategy for all Elix campaigns by capitalizing on trends in real time
Continue innovating to boost engagement on organic social channels
Bring new social media trends, especially on TikTok, to the marketing team
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for new social media campaigns based on Elix community member needs and questions
Share top performing content with the marketing team to inform new paid social concepts and opportunities to put paid dollars behind organic and influencer posts
Recommend paid social creative creative concepts based on what you’re seeing and hearing on social media
Track, measure and report on ROI of organic social and influencer efforts to guide future strategies
Elevate organic insights to to ensure the best social content is being shared across channels
The Ideal Candidate:
Has 1-2 years of experience working in a relevant role at a brand, agency or media outlet known in the creative, media, consumer and/or wellness space
Has knowledge and interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine
Has strong writing skills with video creation and editing skills preferred
Has experience with social listening platforms like Sprout Social and Hootsuite
Loves spending time on TikTok and Instagram
Can identify opportunities to expand into platforms like Reddit
Has strong project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload based on ROI and level of importance and urgency to help achieve organizational goals
Ability to take on larger scopes of work with ease, and face challenges with a growth mindset
Proactively communicates challenges, opportunities, constraints and ideas, sharing the WHY behind a recommended approach and how it aligns with goals
Enjoys engaging with our inspiring community both online and IRL – can start a conversation with anyone – and enjoys inspiring others
Has the ability to drive performance against sets of measurable KPIs – identifying areas of opportunity and trends when benchmarking performance or pitching new ideas.
Lives and breathes content – with breadth of knowledge and experience across channels, mediums and tactics
Has an eye for visuals – understanding what visual content speaks to the brand and why
Loves problem solving and thrives in a fast-paced and exciting work environment
Is obsessed with social trends, actively stays up to date on social media and how content and community efforts are evolving and able to stay ahead of the curve
Has an exceptional attention to detail and thrives off of challenging the status quo, with a mindset of ‘how can we do this even better?’
Preferred experience & skills: photo editing, video editing, community building & management, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Analytics, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit)
