Social Media Engagement Specialist (E-Commerce)

Northern Noggin, a dynamic e-commerce startup based in Alaska, is seeking a social media whiz to join our growing team! As our Social Media Engagement Specialist, you’ll be the mastermind behind building a vibrant online community around our brand on TikTok and Instagram.

Responsibilities:
* Conduct in-depth research to identify Alaska-based influencers who embody the “classy athlete” persona: passionate about fitness, outdoor activities, outdoor sports, and fashion.
* Proactively engage with these ideal influencers and potential customers on TikTok and Instagram through comments, direct messages, and story replies.
* Craft compelling conversations and interactions to spark brand awareness, build genuine connections, and cultivate a loyal following.
* Develop a deep understanding of social media algorithms (especially TikTok and Instagram) to optimize engagement with content posted by our separate social media content creator.
* Stay up-to-date on social media trends relevant to the fitness, outdoor, and fashion industries, leveraging them to enhance brand messaging within the online community.
* Analyze social media performance metrics and report on progress towards brand awareness and community engagement goals.
* Maintain a positive and professional online presence that reflects the Northern Noggin brand voice.

Qualifications:
* Minimum 1+ years of experience engaging with audiences on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
* Proven track record of fostering positive online communities and growing brand awareness through social media interactions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for online conversations and building rapport.
* Fluency in English is a must.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines consistently.
* A passion for the outdoors, fitness, and fashion (knowledge of these industries is a plus).
* A keen understanding of the “classy athlete” demographic and their online behavior.
