POSITION SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a long-term Social Media Manager to join our team and help us build a world-wide presence. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining Deborah’s social media accounts, including Facebook Business Page, Facebook Groups (Harpists Who Dare, Hip Harp Academy) Instagram, Youtube, LinkedIn, and TikTok. The primary tasks will include creating engaging social media materials including images, posters, banners, short videos (Instagram reels and Youtube shorts) that adhere to our standard requirements, as well as increasing followers on Facebook and Instagram, subscribers on YouTube, and connections on LinkedIn. You’ll be expected to understand, maintain and update the company guidelines (e.g. Image sizes, social media usage). The Social Media Manager is also expected to collaborate on content development with others on the team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage, monitor, and maintain company’s social media accounts
2. Adhere and maintain the brand image and language styles
3. Create compelling and visually appealing social media materials according to the company’s Standard Requirements
4. Develop and implement platform-specific strategies to increase followers on Facebook and Instagram, subscribers on YouTube, and connections on LinkedIn
5. Monitor social media trends and competition to identify new opportunities for engagement and growth.
6. Engage with followers and respond to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
7. Analyze social media metrics and generate reports to measure the success of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
8. Ensure cohesive and consistent branding and messaging across all social media platforms.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1. Proven experience as a Social Media Manager and in-depth knowledge and understanding of various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Familiarity with each platform’s features, algorithms, best practices, and trends is essential.
2. Video Editing: Proficiency in editing short and impactful video clips specifically tailored for social media platforms. Ability to enhance videos with graphics, transitions, effects, and captions to optimize engagement.
3. Image Editing: Strong skills in editing and enhancing images for social media platforms. Knowledge of editing tools and techniques to create visually appealing and attention-grabbing images that align with the brand’s style and messaging.
4. Creative Language Use: Ability to craft creative and authentic written content that captivates the audience and effectively conveys brand messages. Strong command of language, including grammar, spelling, and syntax.
5. Organization Skills: Highly organized to effectively coordinate with the team and manage multiple social media campaigns simultaneously. Ability to plan, schedule, and execute content with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
6. Analytics and Reporting: Proficiency in analyzing social media data and metrics to measure the success of strategies, track audience engagement, and identify areas for improvement. Ability to generate reports and insights to inform future decision-making.
7. Team-oriented Mindset and Communication: A collaborative approach that empowers the Social Media Manager to effectively promote the materials created by the team, such as blog posts, classes, and newsletters (ezines). This involves showcasing and leveraging the team’s work to increase engagement and drive results, and communicating in a clear and timely way.

Device: Laptop/Computer with at least i5 or equivalent with 8gb RAM
Internet Speed: At least 35-50 MBPS Download speed (with back-up connection)

EXPECTED HOURS:
Full time: Monday to Friday – 8 hrs a day/40 hrs per week
COMPENSATION:
Hourly Rate: Starting at $4 – $5 per hour plus Quarterly Bonuses based on KPIs and Yearly Salary reviews
