Job Description

I’m looking for a full-time social media manager to help grow the social media presence of my company. You’ll play a crucial role in helping to expand the success we’ve had on LinkedIn to other channels.

I’m looking for a self-motivated person who will set big goals and then take ownership of achieving them.

There are four key areas that I’m looking for in a candidate for this role:

1. Social media growth experience

You have experience and a point of view on how to grow social media channels. You’ve successfully grown channels for yourself and worked on previously successful channels.

Experience with LinkedIn, Youtube, Twitter/X, Instagram and TikTok is preferred.

Bonus if you have B2B or technical subject matter experience.

2. Video Editing Skills

You are comfortable editing videos using tools like Descript and Adobe Premier.

You understand how to edit to keep people’s attention and improve the quality and professionalism of videos.

3. Copywriting

You should be able to write professional, compelling and straightforward copy that sounds like a human, not ChatGPT.

4. Graphic Design Skills

You should have an eye for good design, and the ability to create professional-looking assets, whether it’s thumbnails or presentation slides.

Here are some of the things you’ll do:

Content Creation
– Identifying interesting content from other creators in the space
– Coming up with ideas for videos and posts
– Writing hooks and coming up with hook ideas
– Script review (I will generally write the scripts)
– Filming Support (making sure filming goes well)
– Thumbnail Design
– Video editing for long-form and short-form videos & courses
– Video podcast editing
– Repurposing longer content into shorts and reels
– Scheduling and posting content across platforms
– Creating compelling ads and VSLs

Channel Growth
– Connecting with other influencers
– Identifying interesting posts to comment on
– Running ads and analyzing the results

I’m looking for:
– Excellent written & verbal English communication skills
– Moves fast and highly responsive
– Takes ownership over outcomes
– Detail & process oriented
– Experience with growing social media channels
– Experience with video creation
– Experience with copywriting
– Experience with graphic design
– Able and willing to learn new things quickly
– Can do attitude

This is a full time role with hours between 9am-5pm EST. This job includes paid time off and holiday leave. There will be opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
