ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a creative social media manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with the world of travel blogging, online host travel agencies, and the coaching industry.
To avoid a potential conflict of interest, we cannot hire a travel agent for this role.
Though we’re hiring for a part-time freelancer, we really want for the person we hire to be a part of our team – so we’re looking for someone who can get along with all kinds of personalities.
We’re also looking for someone who is quick to respond via platforms like email and Slack – as well as someone who’s familiar with projects in Asana.
We currently serve over 80 travel agents directly, and thousands of travel agents indirectly through our content. So there’s plenty of room for us to grow together.
This is an independent contractor role, and work will be done in batches.
We expect the person in this role to work for 4-8 hours per month at first, though this amount will increase dramatically before, during, and right after launches.
This will of course vary and change according to the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
Below are some of the responsibilities for this position:
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Respond to mentions, DMs, and comments in a timely manner
Refer items to Brittany or Operations Assistant when needed
LEAD GENERATION
Use social media to generate leads for our products, services, etc
Use social media to grow our email list
Look for opportunities for us to collaborate and grow on social media:
* Going live on Instagram
* Going live on Facebook
* Going live on TikTok
ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS
Create, manage, and streamline projects in Asana
Manage and maintain calendars for team members and launches
Research and organize data collected from launch campaigns
Synthesize data, create reports, and present reports with said data
Make decisions for social media content using data and company goals
GROUP MANAGEMENT
Develop a Facebook Group marketing strategy based on current, best practices
Optimize our Facebook Groups for search, growth, and engagement
Create engaging posts, scheduled to publish daily
Respond to all comments and inquiries in the group within 24 hours Mon-Fri
Refer travel booking leads to our team of travel agents
Refer coaching leads to Travel Agent Haven
Manage flow of leads for retreats, courses, memberships, and meetups
Manage opportunities related to affiliate marketing, ads, and sponsored content
INSTAGRAM MANAGEMENT
Develop an Instagram marketing strategy based on current, best practices
Ensure Instagram page is connected to our Facebook Business Page
Repurpose and repost content to our Facebook Business Page when needed
Optimize our Instagram account for search, growth, and engagement
Create engaging carousel posts and single-image feed posts with given assets
Create and publish Reels using given assets
Setup and maintain ManyChat funnels
Manually respond to comments and DMs within 24 hours Mon-Fri
Refer travel booking leads to our team of travel agents
Refer coaching leads to Travel Agent Haven
Manage flow of leads for retreats, courses, memberships, and meetups
Manage opportunities related to affiliate marketing, ads, and sponsored content
TIKTOK MANAGEMENT
Develop a TikTok marketing strategy based on current, best practices
Optimize our TikTok account for search, growth, and engagement
Create engaging content with given assets that meets brand guidelines
Manually respond to comments and DMs within 24 hours Mon-Fri
Refer travel booking leads to our team of travel agents
Refer coaching leads to Travel Agent Haven
Manage flow of leads for retreats, courses, memberships, and meetups
Manage opportunities related to affiliate marketing, ads, and sponsored content
CONTENT CREATION
Create short-form video with given assets
Use templates in Canva and CapCut to create engaging content
Edit using apps like InShot and Capcut
Edit given photo assets in Adobe Lightroom and Canva
Use given templates to create quality social media posts
Create value-rich captions with strong calls to action
CONTENT REPURPOSING
Repurposing short form videos into Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts
When it makes sense, send videos to be uploaded on Pinterest
Perform keyword research titles and captions
Choose keyword rich titles and captions
Stay up to date with trends and platform changes
Use long-form content strategically for short-form content
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate will also have:
Streamlined systems and processes for social media management
Workflows for lead generation on social media
The desire to truly be a part of their client’s team
Daily availability to respond quickly
Native-level fluency in the English language
Strong time management skills
High-speed internet connection
